  1. With the defence struggling, the Habs have recalled Brett Kulak from Laval. They were only at 22 skaters on the roster so no corresponding move needs to be made from Montreal's end. Laval has, in turn, recalled Ryan Culkin from Maine of the ECHL to take Kulak's spot.
  2. With Scherbak and Juulsen going on IR, the Habs have recalled Michael Chaput from Laval. I know some will have wanted Evans but considering Chaput will be the 13th forward and not someone that will likely play much, it makes a lot more sense for him to be the one getting the nod. https://www.nhl.com/canadiens/news/canadiens-recall-michael-chaput/c-302137218
  3. As Commandant suggested in the Laval GDT, Kenny Agostino has indeed been recalled from the Rocket. Paul Byron has been placed on IR to make room for him on the roster; Nikita Scherbak is with Laval but as he's on a conditioning stint, he's still on Montreal's active roster. If Joel Armia can't go tomorrow, it looks like Agostino will make his Canadiens debut. It won't be his NHL debut though as he's played in 22 games over parts of four seasons between Calgary, St. Louis, and Boston.
  4. Another former 1st round pick with NHL pedigree gets a crack at Habs lineup. He does have 12pts in 14 AHL games with Rocket and was due to get a look.
  5. Lernout recalled

  6. Valiev called up

Hopefully he does as well as Reilly has so far. https://www.nhl.com/canadiens/news/canadiens-recall-rinat-valiev/c-296554310
  7. Price didn't practice today, but it was called a "therapy day." Given the organization's track record with offering up injury information on star players, I'm left wondering if the shot off the mask he took last night had a more serious affect than he originally assessed.
  8. Nikita Scherbak Called up

  9. Well the 4th line got some sandpaper.
  10. Froese was just named Laval captain, why bring him up?
  11. Do they think Shaw will be suspended? Why would they call him up?
  12. Announced after the St. Johns game.
  13. Will join the team in Columbus.
  14. We knew there were callups coming as the Habs were only carrying 11 forwards. They're back to 13 now as Andrighetto and Lessio have been recalled. Lessio is in a real slump right now but if they're looking for speed on the 4th line, he's their guy - he can really skate.
  15. Barberio recalled

    Lets see if it helps
  16. Charles Hudon recalled

Charles "Keanu Reeves" Hudon is expected to be called up.
  17. Common sense has finally struck, Tokarski is being sent down to St. John's to actually play in some games. He'll play three times this week for the IceCaps to get into game shape. Zach Fucale will serve as backup in the meantime. http://canadiens.nhl.com/club/blogpost.htm?id=43281 (On a side note, these daily transactions are getting annoying in terms of cap tracking. I preferred the beginning of the year when there weren't any roster changes...)
  18. This is the guy I've been wanting to see. North south guy who lives around the crease. Wonder if he can score without Hudon
  19. Sven scores two goals, moves into third in team scoring, and gets the first call-up. http://lastwordonsports.com/2015/11/20/canadiens-recall-sven-andrighetto-from-ahl/
  20. Greg Pateryn called up

Anticipating a Beaulieu suspension? Looking at it again on youtube, the principle point of contact was the left shoulder. The stick slid up as Rinaldo kept coming forward. Shouldn't be a suspension anyway because he just put up his stick to protect himself from a guy who is known as a loose cannon. We'll see.
  21. With Hamilton done, the Habs have made some recalls. There are some surprising omissions though... G - Condon D - Dietz, Lernout F - Carr, Hudon (inj.), Thomas Andrighetto, assuming his injury from last night is minor, is likely heading to Team Switzerland for the Worlds which is probably why he's omitted. Tangradi not getting a recall is a bit of a surprise though. Tinordi, Allen, Dumont, Bowman, and Bournival all have some sort of injury that likely precludes them from going up. http://www.habsworld.net/2015/04/habs-recall-six-to-their-black-ace-squad/
  22. Per Dave Stubbs, Joonas Nattinen and Nathan Beaulieu have been called up, and will be on the ice at 1 PM in Toronto for team practice. Nattinen has 11 points in 37 games with the Dogs, and Beaulieu has 14 points in 32 games. Any thoughts?
  23. Eight Habs recalled for the end of season

Nice to see. Give them a taste for what the playoffs looks like.
  24. Hopefully that's good news with respect to players potentially coming back from injury. White skated on his own today, perhaps he'll be ready to come back soon. Both players will be back with the Habs in a few weeks when Hamilton's season ends. I imagine Weber is also ready to go.
  25. @CanadiensMTL: Les Canadiens ont rappelé le défenseur Jarred Tinordi des Bulldogs de Hamilton. \ Canadiens recall Jarred Tinordi from Hamilton. Looks like he'll play hits first game against the devils.
