Too bad it was a cool poll too!! My technical ineptitude does me in again.

Shucks.

Just for the record, I would have chosen "The Habs slump will end in the current millenium" ahead of "We're doomed, this team sucks, will never amount to anything, and suicide is an attractive option."

But I regret the poll wasn't conducted, because I think it might've been close.

assuming the poll would be about will it last or not here is my take.

The habs have been pretty consistent every year for the last ten years. We have a good start and a great end. The middle of the season is always played like SH$T and we either barely make the play-offs with an early lop sided exit or we simply just miss them by 5 points.

Why should this year be any different? OH right CARBO, GAINEY, MULLER, JARVIS,ETC.........

Well you have to remember these guys aren't the ones on the ice, they can only do so much. Gainey has made some nice moves to rid the team of bad atitudes which has definatly helped. We went up untill December with a winning record. For that reason alone the Habs will break oout of the slump and end the season strong....They always do!!!But, unless we get a second line center to pick up some slack we are once again doomed for a early one sided play-off exit as years in the past. Hopefully not by a 6th or 5th seeded team.

Trade now !!!!!!!!! The Habs are in a position to give up some young talent. We have more then we know what to do with. Package them with Souray and let's move forward with a better team.

I know a lot of you guys think getting rid of youth is stupid but atleast we have it to give. Perez and Pleks value is only diminishing, pretty soon no-one will want them and then we are stuck with young talent that is useless. Package them with Souray and get a strong, proven, holy crap center to play with Kovalev. Make koivu's line the second line. The rest will be fine.

It needs to happen if you want to see a Cup in Montreal. Souray, Pleks, and Perez are not going to help bring it home. Although they can help bring a body or two that will.

TRADE NOW!!!!!!!!!

Gainey find us a center that will be frothing at the mouth and have the ability to feed Kovalev the puck in game seven overtime of THIS YEARS Stanley Cup Final against Nashville so he can blow it by Mason and I can be there to see it.

Option 1.

What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.

I agree as bad as it has been; we have had the luck of not dropping too far. That being said things need to turn around and fast; for the better...

GO HABS GO!

It's a bump on the road to glory? We crap on Leafs fans every year for planning their Cup parade since the 90s, and after a quick and somewhat surprising start, we're suddenly on the road to glory?

I consider myself a realistic fan. There were experts all over the place predicting the team's fortunes from an 8th place fight in April to a lottery pick shoe-in. I figured with the signings of Samsonov and Johnson, combined with some of the moves made by and other teams in the conference, the team could finish as high as 4th or 5th. But even after the first two months of the season, it was plain to see that there were huge deficiencies in the team that had to be addressed. I thought then, and do now, that if these problems are addressed, then we could still get home ice advantage in the first round and get to the conference finals. If the team is indeed on the road to glory, it's still a very long trip.

Look, it's da same team we had earlier in da season.. it's definitely a chemistry thing, so perhaps a team building getaway or team building exercises are needed to fix this problem. If i was carbo, i'd definitely look into this ASAP (all star weekend) or else he's either gonna get da axe, or he'll be strongly suggested by BG to change his system ASAP. I really think this team can go far if THEY THEMSELVES begin to believe in themselves. It's too bad a stand up guy like begin is out, he's definitely a guy who bleeds bleu blanc rouge and could lead this team by example.

But i wont vote on this poll.. this team needs tweeking, not major changes like da 1's proposed.

GO SEEK GUIDANCE THRU A LEISURE / TEAM BUILDING SPECIALISTS; this may be as simple as a 10-15 thousand $ fix at some camp style retreat.

Maybe you're right. I can see it now...

Carbo: "OK, we need to build trust. Saku, Mike is going to fall backwards, and you're going to catch him."

(Komisarek and Koivu look at each other nervously...)

I think Gillett should fly everyone out to Denver for a little getaway during the break. Get them out of Montreal for a few days, away from the press. He's done it once before, prior to a training camp I think. Would be a great way to show that he has faith in the coaches, the front office and the players.

You don't make any sense, how is "young talent" ever useless? If someone is talented they are not useless. Trading either of those two would probably be a huge mistake and something the leafs might do. There is a reason we have been cultivating our prospects, its so we dont have to go hunting for trades and whatnot.

If we should get rid of anyone it should be Kovalev, overpaid and a terrible work ethic. Plekanec has shown he is good when given decent wingers and Perezhogin hasn't been given the chance he deserves. Perez should be on the top line in Lats place but he's not french so better luck on the checking line. Guys we should trade are ones that are either not helping us or want to leave or we can replace easily.

Souray, Aebischer, Samsonov, Niinima, Downey Those are the first choices for trade.

i voted for the second option but i do have a strong leaning towards the third...

i felt like voting for the last option just for the sake of having at least one stupid vote in there... something like voting for the mattress bouncing party :wacko::wacko::wacko::wacko::wacko:

GO :hlogo: GO!
