Wamsley01
Leafs have been pulling miracles out of there ass for a month now That is their 4th extra point this month from OT games added to 2 OT losses.

CBHabs_fan
Well, It would be meaningless You mean like the Oilers last 10 games? Nobody cancelled them..
rafikz
You mean like the Oilers last 10 games? Nobody cancelled them.. Yeah, but Habs-Leafs is the last game....anyway That would be just weird in the ACC : LEafs players and fans devastated, Habs fans celebrating.............. Wamsley01
Look at all those double digit OT loss points for the teams around us. Let's hope that does not turn out to be the difference!
KoZed
If we beat NYR next game, we actually get the 7th spot (92 pts like NYR, but 2 more wins)...
Wamsley01
If we beat NYR next game, we actually get the 7th spot (92 pts like NYR, but 2 more wins)... 2 HUGE GAMES IN A ROW! Rangers have a tough game Saturday as well...at PIT. So the Habs better bring the A GAME on Thursday! To bad Dipietro is out. Toronto rarely wins on the Island. But Dubliewiz hardly gives me confidence.
habs rule
Yeah, but Habs-Leafs is the last game....anyway That would be just weird in the ACC : LEafs players and fans devastated, Habs fans celebrating.............. yeah wouldnt it be just great? i love it
habs_in_the_blood
I think we would have been better off with the Rags winning. If the Rangers clinched, they may have sat down guys like Jagr, Shanahan. Probably would have been better for us. totally agree here...the only thing that could be good is that the islanders have the motivation to beat Toronto...us beating the rags and clenching our playoff spot.. Cataclaw
Best scenario for thursday: MTL beats NYR NYI beats TOR FLA beats TBL Would result in: TBL 92 with one game left *clinches* NYR 92 with one game left *clinches* MTL 92 with one game left *clinches* ---------------- TOR 89 with one game left *eliminated* NYI 88 with two games left, but MTL, NYR and TBL all have more wins and win a tie-breaker *eliminated*

Maybe one of these games we will get some help! Edited April 4, 2007 by Wamsley01
OneSharpMarble
No way the Isles will let that game slip away, they are gonna hit Toronto with everything they have. Too bad the flyers didn't give us that lovely breathing room but who want's to have a second of relaxation anyways. pffft!
dark_faerie87
:?- :?- :?- I'm wondering : if Habs have a 1 point lead going into that game, and if the regulation ends in a tie (which means Leafs are out), do they play OT ????? Yes, because it could end up affecting draft position.

shortcat1
If we beat NYR next game, we actually get the 7th spot (92 pts like NYR, but 2 more wins)... absolutely, totally, completely most worsest case 1st round scenario for us... :puke: :puke: :puke: unless new jersey loses two in a row (won't hold my breath) and pittsburg wins two in a row (very possible) then, at 7th place, montreal would meet martin brodeur and his subordinates for the 1st round... :puke: :puke: :puke: all i can say about this, if it happens, is that then would be a great time to 'renverser la vapeur' (change the direction) of our record with the devils... oh.............. boy....................... GO :hlogo: GO! I agree. I want us to end up 8th so we can eliminate the sabres. If I remember correctly we have a good record against them this season so 8th would be my favourite spot. Lets hope we get one point against the rags while the leafs lose to the isles. Then the last game is "Whatever".
The Iron Lung
Koivu! That's why he's the captain. And a new career high in goals. Here's hoping he bags a few assists and gets a new high there as well!

Chips
nice win, the shutout was a bonus, halak deserved it! a win is a win and only time will tell if this was effort in vain or for good! two more games will need to playout on thursday for us to enjoy this win in my mind. a win for us against the rags and a loss for the leafs vs. the isles. GO HABS GO!
