Mike Milbury predicting us out of the playoffs is a good sign, I think.

2 future Hall of Famers they are not.

96 points......and a # 7 or 8 playoff spot.

But a first round exit. The top 2 will be killers.

the problem with this year's team is that we play in a tough conference.

some of you guys( most of you guys) over estimate the canadiens and under estimate other teams in our conference. my problem is that I do the exact opposite.

who did the most improvement form last year( on paper at least) montreal or TO?? TO brought a sure fire 30 goals scorer and a decent goal tender.

mtl brought a thirdliner, a fourth liner and brisebois...only good move is hamrlik. if huet has the kind of season as last year, we could be competing for the 8th. but I doubt it.

as well, while they shouldn't get in, the boston bruins will be harder toplay against.. even there centers like savard, bergeron and kessel looks better than koivu, grabovski and plekanec.

people rule out teams like washington and florida. while washingt is developing a core of young studs up front they hired kozlov and nylander to help out. they still have a legit goalie in kolzig. IMO all they need is a vet on defense and they could sneak into the7th or 8th spot.

florida may not make the playoffs again this year but they'll be a tough team to play against with guys like jokinen, horton weiss, bouwmeester and they have a true no1 goalie this time, not a finished drunk.

teams like philly look very good and if the chemistry kicks in early they could give us a good opposition..they also will fight for that last spot.

all that being said, I sure hope I'll be wrong and I can do a mea culpa at the end of the season.

Hind-sight is 20/20 but these predictions require some mocking.

1. Toronto brought in a sure fire 30 goal scorer.

2. The boston bruins will be harder to play against.

3. We could be competing for the 8th but I doubt it (at least this one is correct).

Time for the mea culpa m&k.

^_^ It is a happy day in Habsworld when we can look back and mock the naysayers.

I am actually impressed. For most of the guys on here who thought we were going to make the playoffs.

The guys in bold look like they will be in the final range

oh lol

I did say they'd make the playoffs.

lol

Anyways, my 99 is still alive. It requires 6-5 hockey, which is pretty reasonable.

I say 99 too..

99 points to celebrate our 99th season

This team is destined for great things. Few people have understood this so far. Youth and hunger can really take you a long way.

:hlogo: GO HABS GO :hlogo:

Damn..

I hope i can use this quote again in June....
