The Chicoutimi Cucumber
Habs got up 4-0 and the shots were fairly even. Even though the Isles had close to 30 shots they didn't really have a lot of scoring chances through 2. Huet made a couple of big saves when they were up 1-0. At the end of the second period with the Habs up 4-0 the Isles had a 5-3 and Komi got a double minor for high sticking. The third was a bunch of Isles PPs and the Habs sitting on their huge lead. Nothing to be worried about. A strong game. More shots but a lot better effort than the Ottawa game. Thanks, Mr. Wamsley!
The Iron Lung
This game showed the Islanders as the pretenders that they really are. They were no match for us. Huet was rarely tested despite the number of shots on goal.

Giving up a goal in the first minute did not allow them to settle in to their game plan.
ShortHanded
Those are the type of wins that get me excited about this team, but I continue to rail in my enthusiasm. I did not expect that good of an effort tonight, but they have continually surprised me this year. Good rebound, let's sweep Buffalo I was expecting to be disappointed too. Very very glad they managed such a solid game. And it's great that Begin had 2 and that Higgy scored at home in front of friends and family... Now, I hope we can carry that momentum to a MUCH better game against Buffalo than our last one. We looked just dead the last time we played them. BTH
I love it when our guys are on a roll and they start going all Harlem Globetrotters on the other team, especially on the powerplay. That was a great second period.

Easy Ryder
I just post read, i jus't don't get the sillyness in keeping players confidence with Huet. Newf comment i am pointing at. We need every win and our best chance to do that is having two hot goalies. Huet had the first star, confidence is high, Price will get the start Friday and Huet saturday, there is no sillyness there. Oh yeah and the beloved Price will be in goals against Toronto tuesday. Carbo confirmed it on CKAC.
