Zowpeb Posted December 8, 2008 Share Posted December 8, 2008 Looking for advice from someone good with a Digital SLR on any beginner tips/tricks/etc... I just picked up a Canon Rebel XSi with 18-55mm IS and 55-250mm IS lenses for my wife who absolutely loves taking pictures. I managed to get the camera and lenses for about $225 off regular price levels (would've been $300+ less if Best Buy actually honoured their price match guarantee and beat it by 10%...jerks). Apparently since the manufacturer offered a "deal" to their competitor they couldn't match it...which pretty much makes their guarantee useless IMO. </end rant> Still got a good price either way. I've got us signed up for some training classes too since we're moving from the point and shoot camera's so we've likely got a decent learning curve.
