han_dyl
couldn't they have called that a goal....he did have a wide open net
brobin
figures... Higgin should have popped that in while he had the chance... we would have been better off with a penalty to negate the PP then a penalty shot
Athlétique.Canadien
Under certain rules mostly Euro, the ref could just call it a goal. Not in the NHL folks!
sbhatt
I'm worried...that powerplay looked like shit without Markov and Schneider on the blueline.

BTH
at Gainey using Laraque on the 5-on-3. Wasn't he our saviour because he kept fourth liners off the PP?
Athlétique.Canadien
I'm worried...that powerplay looked like shit without Markov and Schneider on the blueline. There was an obvious void throughout all 20 minutes. Something glaringly missing! I thought winter was suppose to be over. This feels like some damp rotten smelly ghost is floating around. Sweet Lenore. Forevermore. Thus quoth the Raven Schneider Nevermore Edited April 7, 2009 by Athlétique.Canadien

HABBER-oooooKNOWS
Can't dwell on how things are looking. Gainey will find solutions, but they weren't going to happen on the first shift or first power-play. Relax. One game at a time. Focus boys ....we need these points. We have to play with the lead, we are not good down and missing our best D-man. Positive thoughts girls, Positive thoughts.

HABBER-oooooKNOWS
0-0 after one and it's a nightmare? I think everyone has been panicking and slipped back into familiar feelings of a few weeks ago after todays news. Let's hope the team is a little stronger mentally then the fans. Solutions are difficult to find when Markov is gone for almost the 1st round. He might be back for game one of the second round. Yikes. You're right. We need to get in and hope. But I wouldn't mind if O'Byrne was exposed to gamma rays or Weber was bit by a radioactive spider. It's going to be a tough slug defensive effort for three weeks. It's not likely to be pretty. Hopefully they can plumber their way with new grit from here on in until Markov returns!
