I loved it !!

of course you have your jocks but overall you can do you workout without having to deal with them. and yes there are many attractive women in there ^_^

I found it cheaper than the likes of energy cardio or nautilus...

You mean Serge Moreau Pro-Gym Hochelaga/Letourneux ???

I subscribed there 2 months ago : 200$ for 6 months, not that bad...

+1 for jocks, +1 for many attractive women.

I use to go there between 16h30 and 18h30, it's not to crowdy. And you can see humorist François Morency working out around 17h30...

It's the first time that I subscribe in a GYM... but they offer Individuals closed showers, Sauna in there, lot of lockers, "hair dryers", etc. IMO, it's pretty clean in there.

I live on Jeanne-Mance and Sherbrooke; my membership at Gym La Cité just expired; it's not bad, but still lacking.

And locker room and shower are not the best; not a major factor outside winter, as I change/shower at home, but in winter, it's best to shower and change @ the gym, as I don't want to walk in the ice and snow with my gym clothes and running shoes.

Although I did appreciate the free towels (2 per person per session)

My membership at Gym La Cité just expired, and althiugh La Cité is 1 block away from where I live (and they have free towel service), I think I want to change).

By using the subway, it takes me 10 minutes to get to Métro Pie IX

I live at metro Joliette...

bus 85 Hochelaga : 6 minutes max

roller blades : 8 minutes max

if you go to the metro Pie-IX and walk from there it is like 5 minutes.

using a car would take me 2 minutes max

That's good to know; so I guess 10 min by subway would be reasonable for me...

I go there at let's say 16h30-17h30 and I'd say about 50% to 70% of the machines in the Cardio section are occupied. It drops around 18h00 though. I never went on the weekend.

(And I'm everything but huge lol)

I know it's a great gym, but I really want to make sure it's worth the commute (I would go there after work, at 5 pm)

Did you subscribe ?

No ^_^

Went a few times; it's really nice.

But the 15 minute commute will turn in a 30 minutes one in winter.

Plus, i read somewhere that a shooting occurred in that gym about 2 years ago

I went with a gym that's super close to work

sorry, what's that in french ??

And for the shooting, you're right. I heard that the gym is "owned" by the Hells.

Did you mean: "was that in French ? " ^_^

No, mediocre English: should I say: " I'm afraid it will turn into a 30 minute one? " (I meant that the commute will be longer in winter because walking in the snow and ice takes longer than usual)

Anyway, it wasn't Hells related; a cop went in the gym with his uniform on  , started running on the treadmill and talking to himself

Then he grabbed his gun and destroyed some stuff (but no victim)
