puck7x Posted June 12, 2003 Share Posted June 12, 2003 This should be in the off-topic because its so off-the-wall. :-^ No chance in hell Forsberg ever becomes a Nuck , Foppa makes 10 million per year! 10 million , thats about 1/4 of the Nucks payroll ... The Nucks are not a poor team by any means , but they arent in a position to take on a 10 million per year player , very few teams are. Habs77 Posted June 12, 2003 Share Posted June 12, 2003 Funny thing is... Forsberg seems like the type that would say "I'll sign for half what I'm worth" to make it happen. He took a year off, forfeiting 10M, because he felt he needed a break. There are rumors he might cut his career short and head back to Europe at some point, maybe he'll decide to play one year with Naslund for the hell of it before he leaves. But you're right... if he gets paid what he's worth there's now way Vancouver can afford him, it's already a challenge for them to keep the nucleus they have assembled. And with the CBA on the way...
