I was at the Feb 9th game in Boston and have been looking forward to this for the last month.

Bruins games have been some of the most entertaining games of the year.

Would love to see the Habs extend the streak to 5 and get a couple points closer to a top 4 spot.

Good luck fellas.

Winning tonight would be huge, we have been owning the Bruins this season. Let's forget about the last game and play the way we know how to against these clowns.

I hope they pull Tim Thomas half way thru the second... my prediction: PK Subban will fight someone. Eller and Gill will get untimely penalties. Carey Price the star of the game with Max Pac a close second.

I predict a one goal win by Montreal with bad penalties on both sides that lead to goals.

Can't imagine there will be much fighting tonight though. Actually, it should be avoided at all costs. The Bruins suckered them into that last time, and while the Canadiens went back and forth answering Boston goals, we weren't playing our game, instead we played theirs.

I understand that players need to defend themselves but walking away for the greater good seems more advantageous at this point in the season.

The Bruins are locked in a three way tie for 2nd place and the Habs are looking to take 2 points and close the gap.

A couple shots to the face will heal in time, but taking a couple points from your closest rivals hurts way worse.

Bets, I love bets!

Over 0.5 fights

Under 0.5 injured habs

I also propose some other props:

Over/Under 4 goals total

Over/Under 3 power plays for habs

Over/Under 2 power play goals scored total

Tonight is playoff pre-season game 1 or like a game 7

These games rarely match the hype.

The only game I can remember payback was Detroit/Colorado for the Draper hit.

uhm NYI vs Pittsburgh?

the revenge on Brent Johnson. I so wished HBO was filming their documentary during that game.

You've gotta use .5 in setting over/unders, that way you can avoid there being a push situation.

Look Brian becomes a co-admin and he's already on my case :P j/k

Grats on the new position Brian.

I also propose some other props:

Over/Under 3.5 goals total

Over/Under 2.5 power plays for habs

Over/Under 3.5 power play goals scored total

I forgot about that, never thought about it because DiPietro got what he deserved. If you want to fight and get knocked out, so be it.

Also forgot Bertuzzi/Moore for the Naslund hit.

Marchand is running his mouth AGAIN to the media, a vet needs to address this. Other teams bitch about Subban, but when other rookies bitch about our team nothing is said, and I think it's about perception, Gill, Gomez or Gionta standing up to the mic, and giving a nice little zing would go a long way in my eyes.

Some comments of Marchand:

"They like to get in and shoot their mouths off and then when you hit them they'll dive down and fall easy,"

"They get a lot of shots behind the play, and then they play it off like when we run them they didn’t do anything to deserve it. That's the kind of team they are, they're pretty good at it."

This guy is such a douche and he gets away with it!

If asked about Marchand's comments the Canadiens will most likely do the classy thing and laugh it off.

Comments like this are just another attempt by the Bruins to sucker the Habs into playing their game.

Hopefully our players will not take the bait. We better than that.

Should be a fun one tonight. With points so important the Habs should be more concerned with the two points rather than revenge. Like Gill said "revenge is a win". I dont expect many fights in this one, the only one maybe being a Mara vs a tough guy on the Bruins. Oh well looking forward to tonights game. Go Habs Go!!

Am I the only a little tired of the impression the habs are getting around the league? I mean I don't matter at all in the grand scheme, but does it bother the players?

Well I think they are known as a fast skilled group so no I am not tired of it at all,

I'm really looking forward to this game, but I am also a little nervous. Considering what happened last time, I hope all our players will come out of this game without any injuries!

I really, really, really, really, really wish that Gill checks Lucic into the boards so hard that Lucic the bitch ends up with some broken ribs! Death to the Bruins!:halm:

I think you'd actually have to be a player in the NHL to have any real idea of how they are perceived around the league. From the outside looking in I'd imagine that they are generally disliked for their skill / speed and fans at the Bell centre, not to mention the sheer amount of Habs jerseys that appear on most road games.

The Ole Ole chant, to an opposing team, has got to be the most irritating thing to hear ringing out in their arenas. Times that by 20,000 when they play in Montreal.

The players are being paid thousands of dollars + per day to play a game they love and their team is solid this year.

Just speculating, but I imagine what the Bruins think about the Canadiens doesn't even factor into their lunch conversations.

Petty players who are scared of a loss run their mouths.

Even if the Bruins win tonight it makes Marchand and the rest of the Bruins look like whining children.

You could be correct Bren, I just know if I called a diver or a cheater, I'd be upset, and to be called out my Marchand, someone who will not fight himself...would disturb me.

I'm with you, it would defiantly be a hard thing for me hear and not react to if I were in the Habs shoes.

The reason I don't think they will let it get to them is because of their leadership. I've seen commentators ask pointed questions or try to stir the waters with Gio and Cammy and each time they have laughed it off. Maybe it's just for show, who knows.

Some of the younger Habs would no doubt take issue but I think taking cues from your level headed captain goes a long way in this game.

No one will care what Marchand had to say tomorrow. He's only talking smack to get a rise. Especially after last months game, none of the Bruins are in any position to talk about bad on ice practices.

Just meaningless squawking before a big game.

Crying about diving is just gamesmanship, but how do we know that Marchand isn't right on the other issues? - i.e., that the Habs are mouthy and prone to cheap shots? I remember reading a quote somewhere in the press regarding Plekanec, where an anonymous opposition player mentioned something to the effect that he was always full of welts and carved up after playing Pleks. That wasn't public trash-talking, and it surprised me, because I never thought of him as a stickwork guy. (Maybe I just don't pay enough attention to that when our guys are delivering it). The Flyers also commented on our mouthiness in the playoffs last year. In short, I doubt that our boys are exactly saints out there.

The way to handle this is to go out and beat them, then make a snide comment about Marchand AFTER the game... something to the effect that he might try shutting up and playing, rather then whining to the media...

Seriously, I hear so much bashing about PK and the Habs by teams who call them "mouthy".. yet it is the other teams shooting their mouths off in the press.. whats the matter, can't think of a trash talk comeback on the ice?
