Lines are from last game while we wait for

any possible changes to be announced on game day. My keys to the game:

1) 2-pronged attack, the first and second lines need to generate

offence, the Habs can't rely on one line to get them through this. 2)

Let sleeping dogs lie, stay out of the box, don't give Boston a

chance to get momentum there. 3) Clear the crease, the B's

aren't screening Price a lot, their traffic instead comes from getting to

the crease at the right time. The defence needs to be much better at

playing the man, not the puck. What are your keys?

Really hope Martin wakes up and doesn't waste Gionta with both Gomez AND Moen. Saddling GIonta with one of them is bad enough - both is just plain stupid.

I think we'll see Darche back with that line. Also, if you're quoting something from the GDT, make sure you set your post options to Raw Linebreak Mode; otherwise you just see the ugly code.

Yep, just found out the hard way - deleted the quote.

I hope to see the Habs come out guns blazing and keep it up for the full 60 mins. They really need to shutdown the momentum they gave BOS by losing the last 2.

Would love to see them pull off a win tomorrow night and seal the deal back in Montreal.

With that I'll give the Habs a 4-2 win over Boston without getting the first goal.

For the love of god fellas, please get it together Saturday night - Go Habs Go

Les Tri-Couleurs have played as consistent as my viewership was the last 2 games. I therefore take atleast half the blame for my lack of support.

Tonight I will have my game face on, hopefully this will send enough positive signals to my storied 'Ockey Team.

GET THE PUCK OUT!

Rules of engagement for tonights game

1. Wear your best Habs shirt and hat, (socks, undies and sweats are optional)

2. Be sure that there is nothing to interfere with your game, phones are off and family is briefed.

3. Beverages and snacks within arms reach (also smokes or spliffs if you are so aligned)

4. Be sure to stand for the national anthem, sing along to the Canadian one and be quiet during the USA one untll "Rockets red glare" which is sung at the top of your lungs.

5. A good loud GO HABS GO to send cats and wives scattering

6. You are now to give full attention to your TV until intermission, beers and bathroom on comercials if you are fast

7. Nobody is to walk in front of the tv during play, this blocks the goalie.

8. Be sure your set is on RDS not CBC, nobody needs to hear the commentators of Canada's network referring to the Bruins as "we" ( as much as Thomas missed goalie school these bums missed broadcast school!)

9. Every so often, when you feel it is needed, let out a blood curtliing GOHABS GO

10. If by some fluke of nature Boston score you may yell, curse and throw stuff. Just not at the wife.

11. There is nothing wrong with chanting a players name or booing Chara, even from your own house

If we all give it everything we have for the full 60 minutes we will head back to Montreal in the drivers seat.

Years back my Grandfather passed away. Before he did he took me aside and told me the facts of life. "We are Canadien" he said "we bleed the blue-blanc et rouge. When the playoffs come around we will almost always be there and will always be a threat to win it, no matter what the Torontonians that run the media like to tell us. As a Montreal fan, it is your responsibilty to carry the faith and dreams of the Montreal Canadiens in your heart. Nos bras meurtris yous tendent le flambeau, a vous toujours de le porter bien haut.( To you from failing hands we thro the torch. Be yours to hold it high). As a fan the responsibilty is as much yours as it is the players. If you believe and carry the team in your heart you will always be a winner."

I am just hoping that at least some of the players on the team understand this and realize what an embarrassment to the tri-colour those losses at the Bell were. Did they not understand the implications of that openning ceremony? Do they think #4 and16 would have been headed back to Boston? We all know that they would have burried the Bruins there and then. As much as I like our current players I am not sure that many of them understand that the team is so much more than just the bunch of them. They will be dead and gone and this team will live on. I hope they get it soon.

GO HABS GO!!!!!!!

rofl

Unfortunately all me gots is CBC... The Cherry-Booins Corporation...

So to make the best of it. I take a swig of the nearest anti-freeze whenever they say anything negative towards the Habs or positive for the Booins.

Needless to say I do not get up very often after the puck drops as there are to many empties on the floor and I really do not want to trip over them... falling flat on my face... yet again.:P

I'm hoping Martin puts Eller with Pyatt and White and has them play against the Ryder line. They've done it with Pleks against the Lucic line, now they need to start stopping the line that is hurting the most.

Cammy - Pleks - Gionta

AK - Gomez - Darche

White - Eller - Pyatt

Moen - Halpern - Desharnais/Pouliot

A 60 minute game what's that? Seriously......I'm trying to remember the last (if ANY) game this year they played a FULL HARD 60.

We've started games Hard, finished others Hard, but I honestly don't recall a full 60 minute effort (like GOOD teams can do) when we get up to keep our foot on their throat (so to speak)

Prove me wrong boys, for god's sake prove me wrong...........

60 mins hard for us means sticking to the system, which in our case means low scoring safe boring to watch opportunistic hockey. I think last years Washington proved to us that foot on the pedal all game is easy to counter. It should be more like punch block punch for 60 mins, that us the only way we can win.

My instincts are that the patterns of this series - Habs have the edge, first goal wins - were broken in Game 4. So it stands to 'reason' that the 'home ice disadvantage' pattern will also break tonight. I expect a Boston win, followed by a desperation win by us in Game 6; and then a toss-up for game 7. You heard it here first. ^_^

The only reason I prefer CBC over RDS is Bob Cole. I grew up listening to him call Montreal game, can't shy away from him now.

Something to keep an eye on for tonight: With another 2-day layoff upcoming, it wouldn't surprise me to see more of a 3-line game used from both teams. I suspect we may see several forwards top the 20-minute mark.

Well I'm certainly hoping that AK46 gets more ice time this game.
