Habsfan84
Lets hope Price is out long enough so that he doesnt have to attend the All-star game. Then he can come back on the Tuesday after the game. The rest would be best for him.
habs rule
What is the scoop? The hit from the other night? are we sure? any timeline, I know it is an upper lower internal external wait and see injury but have we any clue?

The hit from the other night? are we sure? any timeline, I know it is an upper lower internal external wait and see injury but have we any clue? It's from the CBJ game, believed to be upper body and nothing too serious.
habs rule
It's from the CBJ game, believed to be upper body and nothing too serious. ok but lets not have any more of that Price is injured stuff, too stressful.
DON
Darn that Pacioretty for backchecking hard and pushing numbnuts into lil Carey. What can you do, it happens and like all, hope isn't a bad or lingering injury.
dlbalr
Parenteau has been placed on IR. This makes him ineligible to play in Tuesday's game against Nashville. (For anyone wondering, Price isn't on IR...yet at least.)
DON
Sorry to say, wont miss PAP. And will rather see a Thomas-Andrighetto-Hudon (maybe even a Carr?) over him. And Sekac take his 2:06 PP time.
The Chicoutimi Cucumber
Parenteau seems to be one of those players who carved out an NHL career for himself, despite skeptics, but who now seems to be on the cusp of losing it all by indifferent play (or at least indifferent results; EOTP had a statistical analysis showing that he continues to generate a lot of offensive chances but is capitalizing at a lower level than his career norms). It's a bit like what happened to Rene Bourque, except PAP lacks the size/physicality to get endless second chances. If he doesn't come back strong, he could end up out of the league in 2-3 years IMHO.
dlbalr
MacDonald has been sent back to Hamilton which suggests that Price should be good to at least dress as backup for Tuesday's game.
dlbalr
It doesn't sound like Eller's injury is serious. He sat the third period as a precaution.
dlbalr
Prust is missing today's practice with the flu. That will make him questionable for tomorrow's game against the Devils.
dlbalr
Gonchar (upper body) didn't make the trip to Detroit and won't play tomorrow.
DON
So Melisa Gilbert is back in vs Detroit I guess?
Habs30/31
Great Gilbert and Weaver against wings. ............ neither one NHL quality D. Habs lack of depth magnified with a single injury. Shudder to even picture what they would look like if they were hammered with a half dozen injuries to key players all at once like jets, pens and a few other teams were. You mean like in half the seasons since 2000? I think we're due for a little injury luck.
Habs30/31
You mean like in half the seasons since 2000? I think we're due for a little injury luck. Yes we are. and we have had it. Injury free the last 3 seasons, since Markov came back. Price in last years play offs was a huge blow however.

Colin
You mean like in half the seasons since 2000? I think we're due for a little injury luck. Talk about a jinx. Someone shut this poster up and keep him the hell off the boards. Any word on Emelin, Gonchar or Subban yet? Usually not until afternoon or when the swelling goes down (up to a few days). DON
Just wondering if Emelin sent to hospital during game or 'seen' leaving with shoulder wrapped up, or Subban leave rink in a 'walkin boot' type deal? But teams are quite secretive about injuries and also the swelling it may be reason for a delay also.

Don't know about Emelin, but I believe Subban was seen being pushed home by Markov.
dlbalr
Any word on Emelin, Gonchar or Subban yet? Gonchar hasn't skated yet since suffering his upper body injury more commonly known as a concussion. The fact that Therrien already said Tinordi will play tonight is a sign that Emelin's probably going to miss some time. As for Subban, it depends on the swelling (and if there was a break or fracture that an x-ray or MRI will determine once that swelling goes down). DON
Tinordi is in, didn't hear that and look forward to seeing how he does.
