dlbalr
A stat to ponder going into the game. When the Habs trail after 2, they have 1 win out of 14 attempts (1-10-3). For the Islanders, they haven't won a game in which they've been down after 40 minutes; they're 0-11-2.
Athlétique.Canadien
Who gets traded? Weber? Rival GM's at the deadline that represent weak teams will look at Weber. Low cap, young & he has skills. Since we are highly unlikely to trade away Subban or any other D I can just see him being part of a bigger package. Trizzak
I just found out the Habs defence may not show up to play... the game time will interfere with their tea party. Oh no! The scones are burning!

Since we are highly unlikely to trade away Subban or any other D I can just see him being part of a bigger package. If (and given the course of the season so far, that's a big if) the D stays healthy, a move probably will need to be made prior to the deadline. Weber at RW is only a short-term solution, sooner or later either he'll be moved, or someone else will and he'll slot in as a D option once again. Right now, I'd say the former seems more likely than the latter and the timeline for a deal to happen will in large part be determined by Campoli and how quickly he gets back into game shape. He's played all of 45 minutes (approx.) since Chicago's playoff exit, I expect him to be rusty for a few games.

Commandant
Weber and Campoli seem the obvious trade choices. Depending on what type of move you need to make.
Colin
Montoya looks either like a 70's hockey star, or a 80's/90's porn star.

dlbalr
Time to pull an RDS and do their 'inside the numbers' thing they do between periods. 3 - Number of points for Tomas Kaberle since joining the Habs 3 - Number of points for Petteri Nokelainen 3 - Number of points for Mathieu Darche 3 - Number of faceoff losses for the Habs' 'faceoff specialist' (Nokelainen) 3 - Blocked shots for Hal Gill 3 - Hits by Erik Cole 3 - Total hits by the Islanders as a team

brobin
Nothing like low sample sizes to make an argument. I will give Kaberle 10 to 15 games to see what he has. I am not going to get excited over 2nd assist points from the other end of the ice. Kaberle has been okay so far, but it is far too early to tell if he is going to be worth his contract. I agree, I was adding some over the top sarcasm there. That said, Kaberle made a more than just the pass from his own end... he had two nice defensive plays to get the puck and set up that pass too. JMMR
Assists from the other end of the ice is a great thing it means it was a good or great break out pass.

Big if I am actually interested in how Campoli does over the next little bit. He will need some time to shake off the rust, but I hope he looks great. I am not worried about having too many D, if nothing else they are assets we can trade.
