So how many different ways can Bob Cole say the game is over for the Habs? Gawd I wish he retires soon, or they demote him to some other team.

I was just thinking....the CBC execs must be crying over the fact that out of the 4 Canadian teams in the playoffs, 3 will be gone in the first round. The only one going into the next round is the smallest TV market, Ottawa.

Budaj did some excellent goal tending for us this year, and if he were coming in in a positive situation, he might be expected to play as well as he can.

We turned Ottawa into a high scoring team.

Can't we just stop playing.

Wow...the Sens put in their 4th liners for the PP and they score!? Come on Habs, show some pride. Blech.

this is getting embarrassing. Crap effort at home.

MT didn't adjust at the end of the season, or in the playoffs to things that clearly weren't making, and players who were mailing it in.

LAST 25 games: 11 wins 14 loses

68 GF 77 GA -9

Not good enough.

Injuries, not enough depth, and short season success, has caught up in last 25 games.

Curious what the team stats would be over a full season?

YES, we have improved, but with these injuries, we go back to last years injuries.

Hope all the staff brought in to shore up scouting and management will review this year, and identify all the issues to continue to progress to have the team to be a Stanley Cup Contender, and not just Playoff contenders.

Most of comments read here:

1. where were the vets in this series? DD, Pacs, Ryder, Plec...0 goals!

2. MT outcoached in this series, team looked unorganized ( no drive to net to get in face of Anderson!)

3. Senators young guys got the minutes!

We can go on and on...

Will the team finish 2nd or first in the EAST next year in full season? hmmmm

Great improvement this year, MAYBE ;)

Been a slice...Take care all...Always a HABS fan!

Regret contracts for this year:

-DD

-Moen

-Budaj

-Bouillon

Bouillion made some great plays early in the game, solid checks, pushing people out of the crease, cutting of that Pague guy.

Moen was solid this series.

Budaj shouldn't have been resigned once we traded for Tokarski.

DD was invisible.

Bouillon gave up the puck to Pageau a number of times and then spent a lot of time running after him.

Not sure what MT could do with the injuries. Gave the kids PP time, no goals. It isn't as simple as just giving player x more time. We have a lot of players who are not great in the playoffs and that goes back several coaches.

Ottawa had a great goalie who kept us to 9 goals. Easy to coach when your goalie is that good. We were decimated with injuries. Easy to coach against a beat up, soft team. He got all the breaks from the refs.

The problem doesn't lie with MT. It will be up to Bergeron to make some deals and continue rebuilding this team. It will take more then one year to fix this.

Considering the organization has inexplicably valued Mayer over Tokarski since he was acquired, I don't think they have much confidence in him.

Couldn't do it.

Good season Habs. THanks for all the fun games and the great rise in the east.

That's it in a nutshell. An exciting performance for (most of) the regular season, and second seed in the east. Maybe some luck in the mix, but a huge improvement over 2011-2012.

We just didn't have it together for the playoffs, though. Neither Price nor the rest of the team.

Time for some introspection in the off-season, and hopefully some appropriate changes.
