Machine of Loving Grace
The Montreal Canadiens got a well timed two day break, ensuring they could avoid a mishap like PK Subban out of the lineup due to a dullard like Bryan Allen. Subban is back to skating and the Habs will need to be on their best behaviours going into the game tonight against the LA Kings. The crazy part about this game? After a two day break, the Habs get another two day break afterwards. That said, next week is a home stand as well against Carolina, Anaheim and Ottawa. After that? The rest of the month will be on the road. Los Angeles Kings Gaborik - Kopitar - Williams Pearson - Carter - Toffoli Lewis - Stoll - Brown Clifford - Richards - King Muzzin - Doughty McNabb - Greene Regehr - Martinez Quick Jones Injuries/Scratches: Nolan, McBain Montreal Canadiens Pacioretty - Galchenyuk - Gallagher Sekac - Plekanec - Andrighetto Bournival - Desharnais - Parenteau Prust - Malhotra - Weise Markov - Subban Emelin - Gonchar Beaulieu - Gilbert Price Tokarski Injuries/Scratches: Eller, Weaver, Allen, Tangradi (For those wondering, the Kings are currently 9th in the West.) Puck drop at 7:30!
The Chicoutimi Cucumber
Big game. A win and we are 2-0 and getting the wind in our sails. A loss, and the slump continues, very ominously, into the home stand.

A loss, and the slump continues, very ominously, into the home stand. Carolina and Ottawa are winnable games next week. Anaheim is the bigger challenge. Kings got shut out by the Sabres 1-0 which people acted like it was the apocalypse when we merely lost to them. They also lost to the Flyers which is embarrassing and beat Ottawa 5-3 but it was a tighter game than the score suggests. They are not a team doing well right now and most certainly a team that needs a trade. They wanna win this as bad as we do to show they are not in a slump.

Montreal can win this game tonight by finding the back of the net a couple times

habs rule
Love the heading, MOLG. Lets hope the boys come ready to play. Like to see Galchenyuk cash in a couple tonite and start his soon to be amazing career going into the next phase.

dlbalr
Is Subban playing??? I thought he was sick and would be getting quarantined as well?? He's in. Whatever he has isn't the same as what Allen has been dealing with.
Habs30/31
Habs having a tough time putting two wins together since the six game win streak. Kings in a slumo and played last night. No excuses, habs need a win. Think they were shut out the last two games against the kings. Price and Quick will decide it.
ICEWATER77
So Allen has "heavy leg syndrome"? haha i'm dumb
Machine of Loving Grace
EDIT: Mixed reports on whether Subban is playing. Have heard nothing about call ups so I'd say he's playing. Weaver and Allen can't.

dlbalr
Still no word yet on who starts in net for LA. Quick played yesterday and Jones did well against the Habs last year and has shutouts in his last two games. But with the Kings scuffling, they may want to go with their #1 in back-to-back. Edit: Jones it is.

Guest Stogey24
Great goal Subban! Emelin is garbage. I know that's gutless, but he's seriously brutal
hab29RETIRED
subban needs to use snap shot a LOT more often, rather than always going for the big bomb!

Lovett's Magnatones
This isn't pretty. The Kings have all the possession, but like in soccer, they have to make the most of the possession.
brobin
Lucky with the outcome of that period.... Hope they pick it up in the second
habs rule
That looked like a pretty darn good first period to me. A goal (pp) came ready to play. Sekach and Ghetto are adding some speed to the team. I am happy with that period.
Chris
They were outshot 14-4 and played most of the period in their own end. They need to pick it up the next 2 periods. Lucky to be up 1. A good PP should start them on the right foot.
