Bit more pressure on Condon now to carry the ball.

"Should" be an entertaining game and I guess Habs are the more rested team, not that it always helps to win.

I feel a lot better with Mike ('practice safe nets!') Condom than I did with Toker, so news of Price's injury doesn't strike me as the potential death-knell it otherwise would have been. It'll be interesting to see how it pans out.

I would like to see Semin back in and Flynn sits. The 2nd line looks absolutely awful....

In fact, would rather see McCarron called up and Eller sits. Therefore:

Semin - Galchenyuk - McCarron

Still going with Flynn on the second line :bonk: Poor Galchenyuk.

Based on his last game, I'd try Lord Byron there. But I guess it's a 'why mess with success' thing.

Lines are placeholders from the last game by default. We'll know the actual lines closer to game time.

Price has lower-body injury, Tokarski recalled. Da hell. In Condon we trust

On IR retroactive to Thursday so he'll miss the next seven days at least.

Dont like the sounds of that

I wouldn't worry too much with the IR designation as it had to happen for Tokarski to be recalled. The Habs are at the max 23 man roster so either Price had to be IR'ed or someone had to go on waivers.

I'm going to spin this as a positive.

we seem to be falling back on last season's habits of letting other teams control the play, but we've demonstrated we don't need to do this.

Condon looks like he might be a good goaltender. What he isn't, is Carey Price. We've got at least 4 games coming up, some of them against some very good teams, where we can't count on Carey to bail us out if we play like crap. That means we HAVE to be a better team. There's no getting a 3-0 lead and hanging our goaltender out to dry for 2 periods (Oops, lost 4-3.) Maybe we can break this habit before it has time to take root.

You would not get Don's approval on that one. ;-)
