dlbalr
After a decent road trip, the IceCaps (9-8-1) return to Mile One Centre to kick off an eight game home stand. JMMR
Really wish they were playing Scherbak and McCarron together.
dlbalr
10 minutes ago, JMMR said: Really wish they were playing Scherbak and McCarron together. They're asking that 'top' line to go up against top opposition players. Scherbak's nowhere near ready to take on that role. That said, I wouldn't mind seeing the checking line become Matteau - de la Rose - Friberg which would free up Scherbak to play with McCarron (and Audette to get out of the top six which would be a really, really good idea as he is not getting the job done). Habsfan84
Really like the look of the jersey they are wearing tonight. Very cool to have Newfoundland written across it. Also not bad seeing Redmond back. Hope he does great in his conditioning stint.

dlbalr
So this one ended 2-1 for Providence with Hanley (on the first shift) and Lernout making costly mistakes leading to the goals. Johnston (who was a nightmare in his own end) had the goal for the IceCaps, a power play marker. Lindgren played well but not many others did (Redmond looked okay). They'll go at it again tonight. http://theahl.com/game-summary?game_id=1016152
DON
Seemed a very sloppy game. Scherbak took a braindead selfish penalty cross checking late, they had a 5 on 3 that wasn't very good. Andrighetto seemed very whiney; he got pissed, banging stick and giving Nicky the evil eye when Scherbak gave puck away when he was wide open on the point. Then with less than 1 minute left, he was open beside net and slamming stick on the ice, till I think he thought he actually broke it and then seemed to give up on play. And the defense looked terrible overall, but was just Redman's 1st game. Lindgren didn't have a hope on either goal.
dlbalr
Today's lineup, only one change as Parisi's in for Brouillette: 1-0 St. John's early on, Andrighetto with the goal from McCarron and Lernout.
dlbalr
Farnham scores to make it 2-0.
dlbalr
The second goal chased Dan Vladar (the starting goalie for the second straight game) so Malcolm Subban is now in. That didn't seem to help much as McCarron makes it 3-0.

DON
4-3 win in shootout, Scherbak with winning shootout goal (Audette also scored). http://theahl.com/game-summary?game_id=1016164

dlbalr
It's disappointing that they blew a three goal lead but they needed the two points, regardless of how they got it.
