Whose pick I liked only a little better than McCarron's. But for different reason, don't think you should pick defensive d-men in the 1st round, can be found in 2nd round almost every year. Habs owned the 70's Posted January 21, 2017 Share Posted January 21, 2017 Montreal needs a guy like McCarron, no doubt about it. The size, physical presence, ability to stand up for teammates, decent skill... sorely needed here. He needs to gets faster. It's all between the ears now for him. Does he have the will to get himself up to the fast pace of the NHL. I can't see how this guy wouldn't be useful if he can improve in that capacity.
