Crazy how good that top 9 is for Pitt; what's listed as their third line would be the best line on most NHL teams, and the other two lines have the two top ppg guys of the last decade.

I know more about their bottom six players than their top six players. That's not a knock on their top six either. Just it's very young and guys like Crosby and Malkin don't need to be surrounded with superstar forwards (though it doesn't hurt Hornqvist to play with Malkin)

Pretty entertaining first period overall despite the one goal deficit.  The Habs have been guilty of trying to be too pretty in the offensive zone a few times though.  It's nice that they have confidence but against a top team, take the open shot when you get it instead of trying to set up the pass that sets up the pass that sets up a slightly better chance.

Ya it was a fun period . .at least the end that I saw.

Nearly five minutes for Redmond - it'll be interesting to see if they play him that much in the next couple of periods.  If they were comfy playing him and Beaulieu for even 15 minutes, that would really help take some of the load off the Weber and Petry pairings.

Tough second period for the Habs though the Andrighetto goal after Guentzel had made it 3-0 might give them a chance.  They'll need to do a lot better at getting pucks through to the net though.

We got's to break their streak of never having lost in the 3rd with a lead.
