Man.... I hate everything about the devils. From the way they ruined hockey in the 90s, to their constant "doesn't register status" as a franchise.

Loathe, loathe, loathe.

Are you insinuating they are a Mickey Mouse organization? Someone else said that many years ago, caused quite a stir.

Funny, there are plenty of franchises that irritate the crap out of me (TO and BO obviously, but also Ottawa, Tampa Bay, Philly, Carolina, Colorado, Detroit, LA) but the Devils aren't really on that list. You make a good case for hating their guts, however.

Not so much Mickey Mouse. More along the lines of constantly resuscitating a body that was declared dead about 20 years ago.

These games always seem to be snooze fests

Yes, for past 20 years it has seemed that way anyways.

So heard Desharnais and Nesterov are both playing again...shitty!

OH well,:gohabsgo:

That 4th line is so terrible it makes me yonder for Ronan, Chorske and Petrov.

 Now there is a blast from the past! Petrov was a fun player, but Ronan and Chorske -

I don't know what was worse: Weber flubbing the clear, or Markov's half-hearted stick check attempt afterwards that allowed the golden shot opportunity.

I'd say the missed clearing attempt.  Weber put himself in a bad spot and still probably had time to make a better play than that.  Markov and the others are thrust into a split-second reactionary situation so it's harder to put the blame on them.

Weber makes a terrible, terrible giveaway, but you know since he was passing it up the boards, and he didn't lose it skating up the ice and blowing a tire... he won't be roasted for it like another defenceman might have been.

That's because it really wasn't a terrible give away. He made the "safe play", but was just unlucky.

It wasn't the safe play as there was a forechecker right there, who then passed it to the open man in the slot.

He had plenty of time to make a better play.

It was awful. No two ways around it.
