dlbalr
2 year, two-way deal. They needed a veteran lefty for Laval, this works nicely. http://www.habsworld.net/2017/07/habs-sign-matt-taormina/

Does someone like that have a shot at the big club? How does someone who led the league in scoring not get mentioned as a possible NHL depth player at the very least? I know it's a two way deal but it doesn't seem like people are mentioning him as a possibility to crack the lineup. Time to go look up how old he is... He's undersized for a defenceman and doesn't play particularly well defensively. He's another T.J. Brennan, an elite point getter in the minors but a mediocre at best NHL option. He still landed a nice pay day from the Habs though: 2017-18: $650K NHL, $350K AHL ($400K guarantee) 2018-19: $650K NHL, $350K AHL ($400K guarantee)
