Uh-oh...I hope this isn't a bargain bin replacement move for Galchenyuk in the event of his being traded to Chicago for Anisimov.

He's definitely not a top-6 fwd anymore, but my Dallas friend says his two-way play is really underrated.

Y'know, when he's not on the IR healing his papier maché bones.

GarbageBin signs more garbage. Another retirement deal for a journeyman bandaid boy. He's good for 7-10 goals and 25 plus on LTIR.

Yea.. Rad is as good as gone.

The deal itself for Hemsky is fine, even good outside of context.

within context, this sucks

Texas has no taxes. Quebec 50% taxes. And, the roads don't look like Bosnia.

Canadian NHL owners are idiots...they should have insisted for a cap adjustment to compensate for the tax climate during the CBA negotiations.  Canadian teams are at a significant disadvantage to many US teams...you have to pay a guy an extra 500k to 1 million per for his take-home pay to be equal.

At least if we still had Emelin he could be gone for the season on LtIR on first trainingday on ice...

Man, I'm tired of the yearly reclaimation projects. I remember in a mock draft for 2001, I had the Habs trading up to take him at 13. I guess we finally got him! 16 years later...

At this point and considering the quality of attackers out there, I wonder if the best bet is to throw things entirely at Julien and tell him to work magic. Sign Grigirenko and Yakupov on the cheap. Losing Radu is a big loss, but in the cap world I can see why Bergy had to limit his offer. Unfortunately the low quality of what's left makes me wonder if throwing as much poop at the wall to see if anything sticks might be a worthwhile endeavour.
