DON
Well, Mete gets to suit up vs bit stiffer competition today and would be nice to see at least a trace of offensive instinct from delaRose.

Petry and Alzner are hemmed in their own zone every shift. bobby dollas Twitter › bobbydollas1 #habs r in trouble if they think petry does anything to be a top 4 player , mistakes galore
dlbalr
The Habs have shown a lot of skill in terms of hitting the post this preseason. They're playing better than they were in the first week so that's a small something.

I'm getting a bit of a kick out of who Montreal is using as a backup tonight (Lindgren got hurt in the warmup it seems) - they've got a guy trying out for the Marlies, Toronto's AHL team. DON
delaRose has looked better. If Mete can skate or move puck quickly all is fine and love his speed, but if he has to battle for puck in the corner, then he looks like a teenager. 2g on 5 shots
Trizzak
I don't think Mete has looked good enough to be Weber's defense partner this year but I do think he's looked good enough to be Benn's partner.
Trizzak
Are the Habs allergic to shooting from prime scoring positions on odd-man rushes?

I'm sure Mitchell was thinking he should pass it to a shooter but when you're in that close, shoot the puck. I don't think his roster spot is guaranteed and plays like that won't help. Scott462
Hat trick for Matthews. Boy this will be fun at work tomorrow with all the other Leaf fans. And just like that it's 5-1. I think Matthews has more goals than Montreal has goals this preseason. So sad.
Commandant
Colorado went 6-0 last pre-season. The worst team in each division last preseason? All four made the playoffs. This means nothing.

I expect the Habs to be a process team this season and get better as the months wear on. Not the most fun thing as a fan but if it works, it works. - Montoya sucks - De La Rose looked good today - I'd be fine with Mete starting the season with the Habs and even as Weber's partner / It won't last the whole year but we could run with it while it lasts and then Mete can still potentially find himself somewhere in the lineup. I want some offense on the top pairing and it seems like he can/may provide it a lot better than our second best offensive option on the back end, Streit
