Danny Stewart (4th round, 123rd over-all) is a 5-foot-11, 173-pound forward from Charlottetown via the Rimouski Oceanic. Timmins described him as a skilled player with grit. He had 18 goals and 21 assists in 65 games and also had 144 penalty minutes.

"He was playing on a team that didn't have a lot of talent, but he showed some grit and a good work ethic. He needs to get stronger, but we're told he's already put on 10 pounds."

2002-2003: 65, 19-21-40

The Canadiens selected yet another Canadian major junior hockey talent with their second pick in the fourth round, drafting forward and PEI native Danny Stewart. Stewart lived through a difficult campaign last season with the Rimouski Oceanic, a club that in its own right had a tough 2002-2003. Stewart's intensity and positive attitude still shone through his team's struggles on the ice, however, and that character won him his fair share of supporters among scouts. In 65 games, the 5-foot-11, 173-pound Stewart notched 40 points last season. He was listed as the 87th North American skater by the CSB.
