If we all say something positive maybe it will bring good luck?

Thus far in his career is his one and only season. Serious? My one year old grand daughter poops her pants. Her future isn't looking good.

So the response is just because the future is bright and we want him to, Drouin should score 70-80 points? It's seriously going to be awhile before Drouin gets that point total, unless playing center is taking away from his offense and we move him to wing.

Drouin is 22 and in his second full NHL season. In addition to that he is learning to play C at the NHL level.

He has also been saddled with the flu and that is surely dragging down his point totals lately.

Finally, he is on a crap team, and just about the only FW so far this season that has consistently generated anything. Even worse, the team lacks a single D-man capable of generating any plays from the back end, which is always a terrible formula for offensive success for FWs.

If we look at it rationally, we should expect him to grow into a player who gets more than last year's 53 points or the 56 of his current pace. And without question his ceiling would be higher than that if he were on a quality team, especially one with a strong puck-moving defenceman.

There's no doubt about that last part but I ommited it because of the thread we are posting in. Drouin is good but he is not a go to guy. He can be better than Crosby one game and then nothing spectacular the next game. Next, we'll hear that that's how all the elite players are but his point totals also show a relationship with this viewpoint.

He's not particularly a goal scorer and so I see him in the 60s in a good year.
