dlbalr
If you haven't been paying attention lately, things haven't been going well in Laval the last few weeks. The Rocket (10-9-6) are struggling offensively and still lead the league in goals allowed. It won't get any easier the next couple of days as they play host to the league-leading Marlies (18-5-0) who are allowing less than two goals a game and have been off since Saturday. (Lines based on last game's +/- data and some guesses but they have so many players so there are still likely to be lots of changes) Johnsson - Aaltonen - Moore Timashov - Greening - Mueller Rychel - Smith - Bracco Clune - Brooks - Marchment Liljegren - Rosen Dermott - Nielsen Valiev - LoVerde Pickard Terry - Audette - Eisenschmid Gregoire - Cracknell - Baun Boucher - Petti - Waked Veilleux - Ebbing - Broll Taormina - Lernout Parisi - Juulsen Gelinas - Leblanc Lindgren Puck drop is at 7:30 PM EST on Friday and 3:00 PM EST on Saturday. 91.9 Sports has the coverage in French for both games while TSN 690 will have the Friday game in English. DON
Big Mike must of had a nice gash on ear to still be out.

dlbalr
Tonight's lineup: I'm surprised Eisenschmid has been dropped to the third line. He makes more sense in the top-six than Petti. Tonight's game is also on RDS, by the way.

dlbalr
Still scoreless in the 1st. Laval just had a couple of power plays and got nothing going. Then Broll (or as I like to think of him, Captain Useless) decided it was a good time to cross-check a Marlie on top of their goalie, just for something to do. Needless to say, Toronto is heading to the PP.
dlbalr
Naturally, the Marlies scored seven seconds into that PP. Laval responded shortly after that as Petti came down the wing and put a perfect shot past Sparks to tie it up. There will now be a delay to pick up a whole lot of teddy bears off the ice. dlbalr
Still 1-1, seven minutes into the 2nd. That also represents the shot total so far in the middle stanza. Pickard is now in net for the Marlies after Sparks was injured (I'm going to guess it happened on that stupid Broll play).
dlbalr
Marlies get another PP marker, this time from Chris Mueller, to take the lead in the 3rd. Waked got hurt, no word yet on if he'll return.

dlbalr
Laval is going with seven d-men for the rematch so Simon Bourque is in, replacing Captain Useless. McNiven gets the start with Lindgren backing up which means Fucale hasn't dressed for the second straight game. I'm a little surprised they recalled him to be the third stringer. 1-1 in the 2nd, Terry has the Laval goal from Cracknell and Leblanc. dlbalr
Jeremy Bracco picked up his first professional goal to make it 2-1 Marlies but Niki Petti just scored shorthanded to tie it up again. And before I can hit post, Frederik Gauthier restores the Toronto lead.
dlbalr
Toronto added one more before the end of the 2nd plus an empty-netter in the 3rd for the 5-2 win. Audette got five and a game late in the 3rd for elbowing so that will probably be looked at by the league. https://theahl.com/stats/game-summary/1017470
