Domi set up both goals on a platter for Lehkonen and Shaw.

He’s having a great game.

What a turn of events on that late PP.  It looked like it was going to be a miracle that the Habs didn't get scored on before Shaw did.  And Byron drawing the late hook on Ozhiganov gives them some time to draw up the PP to start the 3rd.

The  only forward I'm not liking so far is drouin. Reilly has stood out for me on defense. He looks good. Offensively that is.

yea, Drouin needs to wake up and care.

The goon squad as 99% of the posters believe having great games. Shaw, Domi, Lehkonen and going to the net and plying physical which is good to see.

Too bad Peca doesn't know how to take the body.

Drouin is trying to do too much and is getting frustrated. He needs to settle down and start clicking with his teammates. Who cares if they miss a pass or fumble a puck, work it out together.

Don't think 99% of posters called Shaw or Domi the "goon squad"

Was more like 3-4 tops

I like Tatar in the old Galchenyuk one-timer spot on the PP

Needs to work on NHL face-offs but that should hopefully not be a problem...

Reilly looks like a legit top 4 puck-moving D man

Shame to go OT here.  Reflections of last year's dominance in the first 20 games with negative results.

Bad line change by Drouin

That's at least one point in the season opener, against what's supposed to be one of the league's top teams this year. 36 shots, good play by Price (based on radio, can't stream SN here south of the border and don't feel like looking for an illegal feed tonight) and a solid offensive effort.

The balanced 4 line attack is fun to watch.

Lehkonen lost Matthews there. Normally he’s pretty good with that.

Great effort from Montreal tonight even so.
