As a gold-plated droid assembled by a 5-year-old future Sith Lord before going on to have his memory wiped, get dismantled in a Cloud City, reassembled by a Wookie, and finally somehow acquire a red arm before becoming completely redundant to all subsequent events once said:

That’s what Pittsburgh said.

Murray is suffering from a concussion due to our 5-1 win over them.

Bob Cole already mentioned that Niemi has one shutout in his career against Pittsburgh prior to the game. Not a good start.

I was going to wait until the intermission but I’ll say it now at 0-2: I’m not happy with DeSmith having a shutout against us thus far.

Some thoughts after the first period:

- Despite him having played well, I wish Danault were a true top line center

- I’ve been quietly hard on Drouin over the past year but I thought he hustled well in the first

- Imagine Jordie Benn were a defensive version of Jamie Benn, skill wise

- Lehkonen does a good job of getting to the front of the net

- I want to see more from Tatar as our first line LW

- I’m going to find myself yelling “shoot” quite often this year when Domi has the puck in the offensive zone

Something tells me you won't be the only one.  He's a good passer but I'd rather see him take some of these open shots.  If nothing else, it'll stop defenders from cheating on the pass.

Top line looks great.  Gallagher being his usual self, and Tatar is having himself a game.

Drouin 15:25 through 2 periods.

3 pts for Tatar.

Hope Juulsen isnt hurt.

It's disappointing that they didn't score on the two-man advantage but it's hard to be too upset considering they scored three in the period to tie it up.

took a too many men penalty to start the period,

with the awful PK, should be down quickly in 3rd.
