Should be a winnable game. I hope for a better team-system play and also looking for a solid  game from Reilly-Juulsen and Kotka's line in particular (for development reasons)

Go-Habs-Go !!!

Go-Habs-Go !!!

Islanders are first in their division. Washington is outside of a playoff spot.

Perhaps it should be a winnable game but Trotz seems to have an impact regardless of the squad in front of him.

Drouin on 51pt pace, but with Benn playing well and Alzner scratched, seems Drouin is new target for over the top criticism.

:1gohabs: Time for 'Meat' to get his 1st goal.

And really bad defense and turnovers.

I especially likes the Petry snow angel.

I believe you learn when your 8 years old, on a 2 on 1, goalie gets the shooter, player gets the pass.

Juulsen did that on the first goal as well trying to stop the pass to the slot.  The Habs seem to be doing that fairly frequently - it makes me wonder if that's actually what they're being told to do.

Who knows,

the other thing they do alot of is this weird Ole' check thing, they stand there. waive at the and watch the player skate around them. Might be nice to take the body every now and again

It wasn't pretty at the beginning but the Habs did a nice job in the second to get back into it and was it ever nice to see Lehkonen finally get one.  Niemi was shaky throughout the game but looked locked in during the shootout.

Glad that Ouellet continued to play well. Benn seemed to be reverting to his 2017 form, but held on

I did not notice Mete, but I think Juulsen and Reilly played better than last game

Domi's line played well; heck, there are quite a few positives despite a shaky start

I an just glad they are playing .500 hockey.

The early going was giving you reason, but I am glad the CH fought back and got the win

This year's team keeps beating the odds more often than not

Here’s my feedback from watching them live:

The team is relentless once they wake up. They are capable of putting tremendous pressure on the opponent.

Gallagher, Domi, Jesperi and Drouin are all legit top six forwards. I particularly paid more attention to Max and Kotka since I hadn’t seen them live before. Kotka is a big and plays big too. His skating is solid and he has tremendous body positioning.

On D, i was impressed with both Ouellett and Juulsen. Both played the body very well and held their ground when needed.

Overall entertaining game. Kids had a blast. My little guy weaseled his way into getting a signed stick from Jeff Petry!!

Off to MSG tomorrow!!

Monster game for Drouin.

Good thing he cut that hair.

:)

Doesn't that cause you to lose all of your strength?

You mean I can get a haircut and not get weak?

huh.. after all these years...
