dlbalr
The power play actually seemed to settle the Habs down as they were a fair bit better after that. They've got some work to do though as the Islanders don't allow a lot of high-end chances.
Chris
Quality start to the 2nd

BCHabnut
Islanders defensive play is impressive.
Neech
Greiss has come up huge as well. Kulak looking shaky.

Neech
Huge goal at the end of the period! Our guys have to feel confident heading to the third with the way Carey's playing.
Chris
I can't believe the habs scored, They need that magic #2 goal now Anyone in the top 6 want to stand up and score
dlbalr
The Habs look lost in their own zone tonight. That's not normal for them and it's not like the Islanders have a high-flying attack by any stretch. They need to shore that up as Price has kept them in it so far. BCHabnut
Drouin minutes just over 7 in two periods.
huzer
What was Kulak thinking there?
Chris
And the choke is strong with this team 1 goal for, pathetic

sbhatt
The usual: can't score goals, powerplay is futile.
Chris
All that matters is they have character and attitude
Chris
Gotta feel bad for Price, he has been caring this franchise for years with zero offensive support
dlbalr
Somehow, it seems fitting that the Islanders scored at a point in the game where Montreal actually played better in their own end (after Price bailed them out a bunch of times). Carolina-Columbus tomorrow - here's hoping it doesn't go to OT...
Scott462
Wow some terrible luck there at the end with Domi and Kulak. Very unfortunate outcome with a point so close but it is what it is. Hopefully they can win on Saturday and still give them a chance to make the playoffs.
Trizzak
Apparently the determining criteria for the privilege to lose to Tampa in the playoffs is going to be seeing who between Columbus and Montreal can shit their pants the least.
DON
Petry-Kulak -2 Price again solid game Interesting the chopping off of Drouin's icetime, well deserved. Terrible turnover in own end and what does he do...stands in one spot watching rest of team running around trying to clean up his mess. Just doesnt seem to have any hockey IQ to go with all his natural skill (i remember a guy like that recently wore #27 who was quite similar). Scott462
I have defended Drouin a lot this year but he really needs to start showing more than he is right now. It’s really a shame he has so much potential, hopefully he turns it around.

Far less boneheaded mistakes, and had the ability to clean up his own messes far more often than Drouin. I've had it with Drouin...you can't fix stupid, and the guy is just flat-out stupid.
