The last 40 goal man for the Habs:  Vinny Damphousse in '94

That's beyond sad.

the last top ten in scoring was Naslund in like 84 or 85

Strome had looked good tonight.  Patient with the puck.

Strome has been dominant in Chicago since the trade

And remember he has NOT been playing with Kane at 5v5,  He's mostly with DeBrincat and Kahun

I swear Koivu would have done it one seasom where it not for Enrico Ciccone taking him out at the knee.

How close was Kovalev in 2007-2008?

He was 11th. 3 more points would have tied him with Kovalchuck for 10th (although Kovalchuck played 3 fewer games.)

Why is it always the other teams goalie? T

They cant finish

It's some of each in this one.  To merely say it's only because the Habs can't finish wouldn't be fair to the game Crawford has had.  Lack of finish ability or not, he has been the first star thus far.

THIS

The proof: watch Ovechkin dealing from his office on the PP.  The goalie literally doesn't matter...is a complete non-factor.  The goaltender knows where the puck is going, but it just doesn't matter because Ovi puts it to a location and at a speed where it's physically impossible for the goaltender to stop the puck.

They are mid pack in scoring this year (and near the top of the league 5v5).

Goalies have great games from time to time, there is little to suggest it happens more often against the Habs this season than against other NHL teams

This power play makes me furious.  The second wealthiest hockey club in the world with devoted fans across canada and this is the shit they do to earn their money?  Absolute trash. Ballard leafs. That's what this garbage is.

The usual garbage...another PP squandered.

It really is pretty funny that with a 20% manpower skating advantage they play worse than 5 on 5.

Ooops.. 2-0.
