I am probably in the minority here, but I would like to see this line for a few games; to see if they adjust and find chemistry

It seems that everyone in the room recognized that they could and should have won the game. Still, we're at 26 points from 20 games, second in the division (thanks Leafs!) and fourth in the east. A very reasonable start for a fight for the playoffs. So I went to look at where we were last year this time, and I stumbled onto Don's very handy post: More or less we are matching last year so far. That's in spite of having Weber from day 1, although arguably he was only "half a Weber" until maybe a few weeks ago. We lost Juulsen (effectively for the season) just a few days later. Hopefully Drouin's injury is minor and he'll be back soon. But as last year's experience shows, being in second place (in division) a quarter of the way in is no guarantee of a playoff spot. We're still very much a bubble team, and there is little margin for error (or lack of discipline). great posting and good find of Don's comment! 🌡️ good measurement of team reaching a plateau = expecting close to 100 points I hope that Juulsen finds his game in Laval We do not seem to be missing Shaw with the emergence of Suzuki and the improvement of Droun. Armia is cold again, and Byron is concerning. But at least the defensive seem to be less of a concern than last year at this point.

So higher is is better. (Of course the top lines tend to play against the opposing team's top lines, so the numbers are not totally comparable between the lines.) I would prefer: Tatar-Danault-Gallagher Drouin-Suzuki-Domi Lehkonen-Kotkaniemi-Armia

tomh009
Ah ... a different rule from the kicking motion rule (49.2 of the rule book). The rule book really is overdue for a rationalization and clean-up. But there is no arguing that this particular rule invalidates the Danault goal. Sounds as though we should all stop talking about "kicking" and just focus on intentional deflections by anything other than a player's stick. How intimidating it must of been to be serinated like that so early. Somehow though it got replaced by soccers Ole chant and is now only sung at the end of playoff series. Again, I miss that sheer cockiness in our home Agree. I hate the Ole ole song and loved the Na Na Na song. Was watching the bloodbath game against the Nords from the 80’s that was included in the 10 greatest games box set a few months back and was thinking the same thing. Don’t know why we had to go with the stupid ole ole song.

No word on if Julien personally drove Hudon back to Laval or just loudly sang "NA NA NA NA HEY HEY-EH GOODBYE" as Charles walked out the door. Hudon recalled. Apparently Julien got word that sitting Hudon for the entire 3rd period didn't completely break his spirit, and wants another shot at leaving a husk of a hockey player after Tuesday's game. Trizzak
Middle of the night thought: Domi's first 3 penalties of the season (2 of them selfish) all happen in the first game he's told to move to the wing so a rookie can play centre. Possible he took the assignment with a bit of spite?
