alfredoh2009
It is interesting how they never break the Alzner - Brook pair.

They did that a lot last year with Alzner-Fleury. The youngster gets a safe veteran to help navigate his first go-round in the AHL. It's a good idea. I find it interesting that they have gone so long without breaking them up, despite call-ups and injuries. It is like if they have asked Alzner to be like a personal coach/mentor to Brook and Fleury before that. Brook has higher "draft pedigree": Brook was #56 in 2017, while Fleury was #87 in 2017. If Brook turn out to be as good as Fleury, the CH will have excellent RDs for years to come.
dlbalr
Garrett Mitchell (an ECHL player on a PTO) is in tonight with Hayden Verbeek being a healthy scratch. If that doesn't say something about how quickly Verbeek has gone from a semi-interesting prospect to a complete non-factor, I don't know what will. 1-0 Laval in the 1st - Evans with the goal.
