Habs77 Posted July 2, 2003 Share Posted July 2, 2003 I happen to believe Sather wanted to coach himself all along. That story about Robinson saying "no thanks" was pure BS. Fact is Robinson travelled to NY to meet Sather a couple of weeks ago, and Sather had left NY... then Robinson asks to meet again, Sather says "soon". Then finally they meet... then Robinson comes out saying he's changed his mind. I believe that one as much as I believe AS asked for a demotion... Robinson didn't go flying to NY half a dozen times if he wasn't interested. This is Sather's little toy and he doesn't want to share... simple as that. Normally I'd say it won't change a thing, but now that it seems they're about to dump Lindros I'm thinking they might be on to something here...
