HABS VS FLYERS IN TORONTO ON AUGUST 14 @ 15:00 ET

This is the third time these playoffs where a goalie has lost his stick and nobody handed him theirs. I've seen forwards handing sticks to D without them either. Did I miss when players stopped giving up their sticks to teammates?

Holy crap does this period look good. I hesitated to say it because I don't want it to stop!

When was there time?

Also a defenseman giving up his stick would probably be just as bad there.

There were 13 seconds between losing his stick and the goal being scored. Other times I've seen were even more extended, 30+ seconds of goalies or defensemen playing without a stick. It always used to be that as soon as a goalie or defenseman lost a stick, someone passed the player his stick.

Anyway, when was the last time they dominated a period like that? That was unreal!

Thats the scary part. I've seen this story reverse so many times.

If we had only gotten one goal out of that period, I would have the same fear.

Most dangerous lead in hockey. It's true.

Interestingly, Bieksa is arguing that the penalty on Domi should indeed have been called. Intriguing to hear a hard-nosed defender like him taking that stance.

Kudos to Muller for scratching Weise.

This high tempo high forcheck is paying of early.

I was trying to think of who Suzuki reminds me of and after the play knocking that puck down behind the net and spinning outf

ront and went high back hand .... I thought Peter Forsberg?

That has to be one of the biggest cliches in hockey, if not all sports, haha.

Indeed. On first glance I thought it was obvious, but it didn't look like very much on replay.
