Peter Puck
Originally posted by Makh2oI thought it was pretty sad, and pretty dirty, to see one of the bigger players in the league throwing a cheap shot at a guy who is being held by the refs. Bob McKenzie reported that the league sent Chara a warning letter about throwing punches after the players had been separated and while they were being held by the linesmen. Leafs Suck
Do you honestly think if Ivanans had done that to Chara that he'd only get a warning? Hahah He'd be suspended. Glad Big Mac MacKenzie showed the crap that went on last night with the goaltending interference.
PB
Will he be back ?*%#@*&!"z* The North-East division was pushed to bulk up by Toronto. Boston as never been far behind in that departement neither and Buffalo always had and have men that like to provoque and fight. Never was a priority for Ottawa but now...they are leading the way. Since Andre Savard kept drafting players based on talent and speed (thanks Andre) the Ch remain a small team. Yvanans is the minimum this team need in this division...he is a dissuading force for shure and he can dance with the big boy. McGuire had to say something while they where showing the fight...but showing the fight ( any fight involving Chara on TSN is gold ) was their priority .....hence the insignificance of what was said along the clip. What was significant is that Chara felt on his hass and that Yvanans didnt go for it. What was significant is how Chara reacted to the situation and that he got a warning from the NHL for acting like an animal. Prior to that I thought Chara was a gentle giant,.. not so anymore. I prefer our gentle giant, he did well against McGratton and it was a one sided affair (by Ivanans) against Perrot in Toronto (pre-saison). Next time against the CH, Chara might be a little distracted by this affair....that would be a plus for the CH right there. PMAC
Actually, anyone who used to listen to CJAD, a couple of years ago, was listening to Pierre. He used to be the Habs colour guy on CJAD before he left to take the TSN job. There is no question the Ivanans will be back. He did his job
