Spider-Man NL
http://www.canada.com/sports/hockey/canadi...57-763925d301b3 Trio to be juggled. Dagenais could lose his spot to Plekanec When the Canadiens return to practice this morning, the betting is there will be a shakeup on the No. 2 line. The trio of Pierre Dagenais, Mike Ribeiro and Michael Ryder hasn't lived up to expectations in the early going and Tomas Plekanec probably will replace Dagenais when the Boston Bruins visit the Bell Centre tomorrow night (7:30 p.m., RDS, CJAD Radio-800). Coach Claude Julien made the switch before the third period of Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs, and Plekanec produced a goal to tie the game at 2-2. When he was asked whether he intended to continue using Plekanec on the No. 2 line, Julien coyly replied: "Possibly." Julien went on to explain he wasn't happy with the line's performance this season and he noted that Plekanec brought some energy to the trio. The decision to move Plekanec up from the fourth line wasn't made at the spur of the moment. Going into the game, Julien said he was looking for more from the second line and took Dagenais out of the lineup for two games to make room for tough guy Raitis Ivanans. This time around, Dagenais will probably move down on the depth chart. With Ivanans (broken orbital bone) and Richard Zednik (strained groin) nursing injuries, there are no extra forwards. But Dagenais's spot in the lineup could be in jeopardy when Zednik returns. Zednik is scheduled to resume practising this week. Dagenais has only one assist in four games and is minus-3. He also is tied for the team lead in penalty minutes with 12, an indication that he's having difficulty adjusting to the new rules. Plekanec said he was happy that the coach showed confidence in him, although he was disappointed that the Canadiens lost the game. "It's hard to feel good when you lose," Plekanec said as he stretched in the Bell Centre gymnasium after the game. This one was particularly hard for the Canadiens because they outplayed the Maple Leafs. Montreal enjoyed a 31-21 advantage in shots and also had more scoring chances. The difference was in the goaltending, with Ed Belfour turning in a strong effort after he was caught out of his net trying to clear a puck on the first Montreal goal. Jose Theodore continues to play hot and cold. He was no better than lukewarm Saturday as his goals-against average crept up to 3.01, while his save percentage dipped to .877, which ranks 16th among goalies with at least four appearances. The Canadiens have a light schedule this week. After tomorrow night's game, they don't play again until Saturday when the New York Islanders are in town. phickey@thegazette.canwest.com © The Gazette (Montreal) 2005
shortcat1
Very nice card and subtitle on the card 'SUPERROOKIES'. :/) This guy is a pleasant surprise to pretty well all of us. There was a time, not too long ago when it was proposed by a number of us that he just wouldn't have enough to make the team. As to the game, I'll be here and I'll be yackin' 'n yackin' even if I have to yack 'n yack to myself. :hlogo::ghg::hlogo:

mrgodo
This will be a very good game. I wish I was going, but that will have to wait til April 1. Could someone shout "I want to see millionaires fight" during the second period?
Phhoenyxx
Thanks bebehabs! It's a tribute to Patrick Roy's famous wink during the '93 finals against the Kings.
thehabbit
the habs will make the bruins look like sadly mistreated gypsy circus bears.:/) but seriously it will be a tough game as the bruins will be looking to get out of the basement and send a message to the habs for opening night and the playoffs. if thornton and samsonov are still injured it should be a much easier time for montreal. plekanec on the second line for an entire game will be interesting to watch as will theo, look for him to have a strong game. 3-1 habs ryder, kovalev, bonk bergeron :ghg::hlogo:
simonus
very excited, my first televized habs game of the season. A win would be well appreciated.
Dalhabs
Ill try to watch this game as well... they send it on Canal plus... BUT I will be severly tired at work tomorrow as a result I think I need to plan in a powernap on the afternoon to manage. DAMN if we dont win. Prediction: Habs : 5 (Koivu, Plekanec, Perezhogin, Begin, Markov) Bruins: 3 (Axelsson 2, Boynton) this is if Boynton is returning tonight... if not we win 5-

Rooster
I never make predictions. .....but I'll say Habs 4 (Higgins -from a nice feed from Dags:), Kovalev2, Ryder) Bruins 2 (Bergeron, Slegr)
lazy26
Man, we gotta start winning at home. Let's start tonight! :ghg:
DJ_Laszlo
Theo better start acting like a $15 mill worth goalie or otherwise we'll be 0-3 at home... I hope plekanec and kovy each scores two.. GoHabs2002
I would say no Thornton is good news for the habs, but he's usually a non-factor anyways :/) Maybe the Habs will take Bruins a bit more lightly than they should since they see no Thornton in the lineup...that would be a shame. Watch for Bergeron to have a big game, probably multi-point game. My pics: Bruins 3 Habs 6 Bruins goals scorers: Begeron, Murray, Leetch 1 PP Goal (leetch)...that will probably be Theo's 1-weak goal per game goal. Canadiens Goal scorers: Kovelov, Dagenais, Ryder, Koivu, Bulis, Ribeiro 2 PP Goals (Ryder, Koivu) At this point we would say taht the Habs have Raycroft's number and are in his psyche after the 04 meltdown. On a side note: Isn't it nice that the Habs have a realistic shot of winning each game. That's a nice feeling. :ghg:
