For Suzuki?

Suzuki is going to be better than PLD

He may well be ... but MB may be thinking whether he is better now ... next summer is the time for MB to get his extension or m move on

As with “Fail for Nail,” there’s gotta be a slogan here...

“Get Owned for Owen”

”Own Goals for Owen”

“Failure Power”

”Seize Power”

...

“Cower for Power“

”Throw-In (the towel) For Owen”

or

“Throw-Win(s) for Owen”

Nice to see the goal differential and how they are keeping up with the top teams in the north. A welcome improvement from recent years.

It is ... but of course that differential was built up in the good times at the start of the season

From last game, it is evident that the Habs have more players capable of scoring than I the past.

Gallagher is still the spark plug but at least half a doze others were dangerous

I thought of posting this before the Winnipeg games and the middle point of the season:

Goals for dried up and the games in hand provides an opportunity to recover lost ground. The season can still be saved and I still believe the team has the players to do it.

Scoring has indeed dried up recently, but our average is still 3.24/game, a touch better than the Oilers' 3.20. But it's been dropping ...

Oilers average is also affected by their last three games where the leafs pretty much shutdown Draisaitl and MacDavid.

Averages hide the bad of slumps and the good of rebounds ... but they are only useful over a much longer stretch than 21 games ... as discussed elsewhere, the season will depend on whether Danault can get his game in gear (his last goal was February 29, 2020, after 18 games without a goal) and/or Suzuki & KK can perform to a level I only hoped they could reach in the next couple of seasons.
