Jan. 18, Habs vs Oilers, 9 PM

This is why the Coach Challenge is in the NHL.

At a first glance is could look like it was interference even if it wasn’t. Before this rule we all would have felt robbed by now...

Edmunson looking better by the minute.

Still can’t see Toffoli doing anything. Perhaps that changes once he starts scoring. Like someone allready mentioned; doesn’t he looks a lot like Ryder?

Drouin covering more than once on the defense.

Byron! (The job he do! Fav 4th liner since Begin!)

I can see why, from the ref's angle, it may have looked like Petry checked the Oiler into his own goalie ... but the replay was clear ... but gutsy challenge as it could have given Oilers a PP to start the 3rd

Did Draisaitl let himself go down or is Weber THAT strong?

If Allen does what it looks like he might do, how do you deny starting him next game?  I know he's backing up Price, but shouldn't he of earned that reward?

In his Zoom this afternoon call Claude did mention one of the things that can lead to a change in their goaltending schedule is a "what it looks like Allen might do" ... and it would give price the two games separated by a day so it could work.

Let’s walk before we run

Now that we know Allen is solid, I hope they use him about 12 games

Who did they sneak into #62?

LOL

Nice reward for an "honest" player

That should have been a shutout...

An Oilers fan would argue that with at least two posts it should have been a tie game and gone to O/T ... would/coulda/shoulda ... ain't

Too many penalties!

The tram (Drouin) didn’t give Allen a shot on the shutout. Otherwise stellar performance from most guys.

Is Lekhonen finally finding the net?!

Breakaways can be stopped ... not babying Drouin (it was a bad play) or blaming Allen ... was just saying it wasn't like it was an "own goal" to blow the shutout

It was more a comment on the stupidity of Drouin on the turnover that led to the goal than an overall picture of all the goings-on in the game.

I don't think it's fair to the rest of the division that Montreal has 2 good goaltenders lol. No one going to want to play use back to back. Plus add the way our D boxes out the front of the net so our goaltenders can see the puck. Thank you covid19 for giving us at least one good thing lol.

Just saw a clip of Weber's post-game Zoom talking about McDavid and draisaitl ... Crash Davis would be proud
