GHT120
At least we know that Jesse Ylönen can pick a small hole https://twitter.com/i/status/1364007601785069569 bad break for him and Demchenko
dlbalr
Jesse Ylonen's first AHL goal is...one that will live on in the blooper reel for a while: 1-0 Manitoba after 1. Vejdemo has looked sharp once again, a bit quicker than last year too.
GHT120
BTW - Rocket are facing one of the few coaches often cited as a possible replacement for Julien, whenever that happens ... Pascal Vincent ... 20+ years coaching experience ... 11 as HC in QMJHL ... 5 as an Ass't coach with Winnipeg in the NHL and this his 5th with the Moose as HC
GHT120
Nice for Ylonen to offset that "own goal" with a nice setup for Leskinen
DON
3-2 OT loss Manitoba Moose @ Laval Rocket Monday, February 22, 2021 | TheAHL.com | The American Hockey League Fairbrother 5 shots Leskinen 1g 4 shots Poehling, Ylonen 1a each Guhle 2 shots
tomh009
Demchenko 22/24 saves (not counting Ylonen’s own goal). Laval outshot the Moose 41-25 but couldn’t score (sound familiar?). Heinola, who got credited with that for his first AHL goal, scored the winner with the first shot of OT.
GHT120
Thought Guhle looked good ... got better as the game progressed ... I was impressed with his skating and his calm Demchenko had a good first game ... weird own goal, flukey second goal and O/T winner was legit Still like Harvey-Pinard, although he was less visible tonight Poehling had two shots and an assist last night but otherwise hardly noticed him or heard his name Vejdemo was very active (6 shots) and pressed play Fairbrother had 5 shots as he settles into AHL mode
alfredoh2009
I like Ylonen’s game and I like Ghule’s bodychecks Vejdemo seems daft s as bd strong in forecheck Abd where did this schubeman guy come from? He is outplaying Brook and few others
dlbalr
Schueneman was an AHL free agent signing back when that market opened up in the summer. It's just his second pro season although he is already 25.

He was never the top scorer but seems to have been very consistent, and was the captain in his final year.
Commandant
The reality is that its highly unlikely Schueneman is an NHL player. Keep playing Brook, he's just 21 and has talent.

Agree, don't see regular NHLer in his future ... but he could be a good 7D to cover unexpected absences, who would not be pouting about playing time (if he has a realistic self-assessment)
