He might be in front of the net but he's god damn useless in general. That's all Dagenais does, waits until someone gives him the puck and does jack shit until he gets it.

Might as well put a freakin' chair in front of the net with his name on it.

It's already bad enough the second line has the worst differentiel on the team, adding Dagenais is just making things worse. I wouldn't mind if the Habs had some decent defenders to back them up but at this point that's just playing with fire.

This game was lost for a number of reasons:

1. Julien insists on sitting on 2 goal leads. How many times do teams have to come back on us before he realizes the error of his ways. (They're only sending 1 guy in when they get 2 up.)

2. The tying goal was a bad one. No one should score from that angle. Just like 2 years ago, Theodore lets us down late in games. (I don't blame him for the winning goal however.)

3. As I've stated before, we don't have a clue in the offensive zone. On RDS, the announcer said that we haven't scored a goal all year *when we've had a 2 man advantage!* If that doesn't tell you what a sad excuse for a coach we have, nothing will. He doesn't realize that there are *2* dimensions in hockey: *offense* as well as defense. He only knows defense. You can't spend 2/3 of a game in your own zone and expect to win.

4. We have speed and we're not using it. Nothing like negating your best asset.

- Jack

PS If Julien goes, we get Jarvis: same type of coach but not as good. Really doesn't look good for us in the forseeable future.

Time to reconcile ourselves to the fact that we've gone from cheering for the winning Habs to the losing Habs. Expect losses. The only thing that will get me cheering is blood on the ice. Call in the goons, I want entertainment for our losses. Two goons were picked up off waivers that we should have gone for, Colton Orr and Nathan Parrot. This should be a priority now or at least until Kovalev gets back.

Well at least SOMEONE is standing in front of the net.

Agreed, Dags is the first one to play in front of the net like that since Begin scored the winner against Florida all those games ago.

If more players did that, we might actually have a few more powerplay goals. If that's Dags job description, I'm happy.

I hope Gainey does something with that week off, we are sliding bad and need to shake things up some. The lucky start means we're still in it but for chrissakes we need to bring in an offensive advisor or something.

But we all know when Kovalev gets back things will pick up, he is the difference between a close loss and a close win, so not quite panic time yet.

Go Habs Go!

We lost tonight because Koivu wasn't there to receive a flip-pass from Souray and then proceed to deke out Biron and flip a backhander into the net to win it in OT. Oh, and then there were some other problems too...

Is there a way I can donate money to help that guy? I was going to send some to the usual charities, but looks very very sad indeed.

Theo interview: "well, they got a goal"

Yup, that was a problem, he's right.

LOL! He's actually a Finnish rockstar, so I doubt he's in dire straits regarding money. Most of the time he looks pretty happy though.

Ok i'mjust as pissed as you guys are right now...maybe even more for that i just got my new habs tuq and scarf that i wanna show off but they lose, again after leading the game by 2 goals or mor.

About theodore i dont find there is anything wrong with him like everyone els says hes a good goalie and to find one thats as good as him not that many...would u rather have cloutier in nets, and also look at mtls D not the best thing out there.

Now for the offense i have to agree holy shit ! i never seen such bad lines in my life from what RDS posted up on the screen from what i saw is just discusting wow u have great future franchise player playing on the fourth line...while bulis is on first. no that doesnt work in life never will again.

Then u have that tall freak i understand why he is with us for that if they kept hossa he would have to go through waivers all the time if he were sent down to hamilton to work on his game if anything, but wow dagnais is terrible like on the second like u dont put him never just dont .

This is what i had in mind in my head since ur on a losing streak all ur players gone might as well play with ur lines no?

Zednik-Rebeiro-Ryder

Higgins-Plekanec-Perzhogin

Bulis-Begin-Sundstrum

Kostystin-Bonk-Dagenais(even tho he sucks its a lil ice time:))

the defense was ok better then i would have thought.

And everyone stop blamming theo because brodeur is having such a shit year and no one is complainin about him and his bad angles and all those stupid comments (no offense to anyone)

Go Habs Go

Whew, just got back from my buddy's place. Watched the game with some friends. We were pretty damn disapointed with the outcome. Oh well. Here are my thoughts:

PRO: Ryder's line had great chemistry tonight, imho. We played very well defensively.

CON: Claude, claude, claude, what are you doing!

People that stood out for me:

Dagenais - B-: for doing his job, sitting in front of the net and taking the shot.

Ryder - B+ : i thought he was quite solid tonight

Rivet - A :maybe it's me, but lately he's been rock solid. not just playing well defensively, but often coming up and stirring up some offense. great sense of what's going on around him.

Bonk - C-: i wasn't impressed tonight...

Souray - C+: seems to be struggling imho following his return.

Kostitsyn - N/A: did he even play? oh that's right, he had a few minutes in the first period...

I am telling you, this team has not been the same since that horse shlt loss to the Leafs on the 12th.

Time for Gainey to shake things up. And I am starting to think Julien doesn't know what the hell he's doing. AK23 gets only 39 seconds of ice-time? How many goddamn PP's did they have? WHY ISN'T HE OUT THERE? He is a ton of offensive talent. He could provide a spark.
