Laval is finally back on home ice after an eight-team trip out West and will have some reinforcements with Jordan Weal returning plus Xavier Ouellet and Laurent Dauphin being sent down from the taxi squad for this one.  They take on Stockton who they swept in their four-game set last month.

3-0 Rocket after a Poehling empty-netter. Five games against the Heat now, with 10 points to show for it.

A bunch of fights marred the game, Baddock and two Heat players ended up getting tossed with game misconducts. Laval killed three power plays, but had none of their own.

Now 16-4-2, and 13 points ahead of the second-place Marlies.

Poehling been looking good,

He's been particularly effective on the Rocket power play; three of his eight goals are PPGs (AHL doesn't have stats for power play assists). Maybe someone that is actually seeing the games (radio not quite the same) could comment on whether that success might be transferable to the NHL.

In any case, a big improvement over last season.

They do track PPA's, you just have to change from Standard to Expanded.  Poehling has five power play assists, second to only Weal (seven).

Thanks! That was the gut feel I had, that Weal and Poehling had scored a bucketful on PP.

What I really wish AHL published is the TOI data.
