"Let the big dog eat!"

Final road trip of the regular season begins, and this is the last chance the Habs' will have to feast on a weaker team. A win here either vaults the team into 3rd or keeps pace with the Jets and drops the Flames out of the playoff race.

Lineups changed at practice signaling a potential return from one of the injured forwards. More info to come...

Bilbo Goal Caufield is gonna score again. You can’t stop talent like that.

Fixed that for you. :)

So the game is going to O/T?

LOL ... maybe "jinxing" will get him a regulation goal ... in any event, certainly looks like the Habs won't be an 3-on-3 wimp next season

I am obviously down for the greater good, but Phil Brickma quotes are a limited supply. I have passed the bottom of the barrel and am now scraping through the floor.

Agree with that. Teams that are successful 3 on 3 generally have high end offensive talent that don't need many chances to score. Caulfield certainly fits that bill.

That was my 1st thought too.

I was thinking about the record he set, and for him to set another he likely just needs to keep winning games that go into OT vs only scoring in OT.  ex:  scoring the winning goal in 1st 3 OT's is likely to be its own record.

He has already set a record for scoring the winner in his first 2 OTs.

Close, but thats actually not the record he set.  The record he set was that his 1st 2 goals were OT winners.  He likely doesnt need to only score in OT to set another record, but win his 1st 3 OT's.  i.e. other players have probably won their 1st 2 OT's, but has anybody won their 1st 3?  If not and he does it then it would be a different record.

I wanna see cycling and slot shots for a change. If this team can't rush, they don't score as a rule.

They've shown some decent ability to do it in recent weeks but they don't seem to want to go to that.  The exception is the fourth line as that's all they're able to do...but they've been good at it.

Is it just me or was that goal horn annoyingly loud?

It was a lot longer than normal, probably to celebrate Pinto's first NHL goal.

That must have had something to do with it.

When the goal happened I was in my bathroom and had the water running so I couldn't hear the game at all but I heard the horn going off.    They definitely did it for longer.
