Ryder played with Leksands IF during 2004-05.

In order to understand what Leksand is I think you have to be Swedish.

Leksand is in a way the heart of Sweden. The town (or maybe it should be called village has about 5000 inhabitants. But they have a hockeyarena that takes 5500.

If you wan't to see Leksand play anywhere in Sweden you have to pay a litle extra. It cost about 10 dollars to see Djurgården play in the Globe Arena in Stockholm, but when Leksand is visiting the price is 12 dollars.

Leksand has been a factor in Swedish hockey since the day the sport came to Scandinavia. And the club and the town has pride in it. Last year Leksand played in the second division; Allsvenskan. Michael Ryder and Francis Boulloin helped the team back to Elitserien. Now they're last and it seems like they will go back to Allsvenskan. Anyway, my point was:

A city with 5000 people and the only thing that generates money in the area is a local cuntruction company and a bread factory. I amazed he got that much money.
