JMMR
Well a lot of people have begun to fear this team will make the post season and with every passing game more and more fans are crossing the emotional line. As of right now the Canadiens sit in 10th place 2 points ahead of Florida with 5 games at hand and one point behind both Tampa and New Jersey with 2 games at hand on those clubs, 4 behind Atlanta with 4 games at hand. The News Good and Bad First the Good if the Habs Devils, Bolts, Thrashers and Panthers all play .500 hockey for the remainder of the season the Habs have a solid chance of making the playoffs. The Canadiens unbelievable start has kept them in tight with the bottom 2 spots in the eastern conference playoff race. Now the Bad. Lets start with Atlanta. Highly touted rookie goalie K. Lehtonen is now healthy and the Thrashers are continuing to score at a high rate this combo has led the Thrashers to 5 wins in their last 6 games including their last three in a row. The Thrashers during this 6 game span have scored 30 goals averaged out is 5 per game. As we move to Tampa things get slightly better but still not good for the Canadiens. Although Tampa has lost their last two games allowing 9 goals their goaltending is getting better. Prior to their last two games Tampa’s’ goaltenders allowed only 3 goals in their previous 3 games. Now to New Jersey, which seem to be re inspired with their premier scorer back. Since Elias has returned the Devils have not lost winner of four in a row with their problems seemingly behind them. The devils early problems seemed to rest with a lack of offensive out put. But with Elias back they have scored 3+ goals every single night, not to mention Brodeur finally regaining his form posting his first 2 shutouts in his last 4 games. Finally the Panthers yes the Panthers are hot earning at least a point in 7 of their last 9 games. Although they have played many more games then the Habs if they keep their recent play up this is potentially a playoff team.

Prime Minister Koivu
Look at our January schedule: Sharks Stars Flames Canucks Hurricanes Flyers Senetors Leafs Hurricanes Even playing our best hockey, we will be lucky to come away with some wins. That is a brutal list of teams to play.

I knew this was going to be depressing when this was the 'good news'.
JMMR
Yeah the habs schedule does not look two nice. But that should not matter the Canadiens if they play for 60 min can beat all of these teams, all they have to do is want it and have some respectful goaltending. Huet gave respectful goaltending! and it sure didnt work! If the team needs 5 straight games of Respectful goaltending before the will Want it! then its easy as changing the whole team or going out of your way to get LUONGO ... a goalie that can handle defeat after defeat while still performing at a close best! is what the Habs need then! GOD I wish it was as simple as that!!! F!(&^$!
