Drivefor25
Hey fellow Die Hards, it's been awhile since my last post. Anyways, just wondering if any of you think that the habs should claim nedved off of waivers? I believe we have the CAP room and I think he'd be a good fit after watching him during the habs philly game. whadaya think??? here's a link to the article on tsn.... http://tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=181141&hubname= Edited October 18, 2006 by Drivefor25
JMMR
No the habs should not! Who would you want out of the habs line-up? Begin Bonk or Plekanec?
Athlétique.Canadien
C'mon all you Nedved haters. We could use him. I hear the Canadiens need an extra stickboy
Drivefor25
in all honesty, unless perezhogin starts tickling the twine, I'd send him down to hamilton for a bit, play nedved, and then when they are both producing package them together and get something else. Just a hypothetical proposition

Drivefor25
meh, I just think that he might help. Emphasis on MIGHT. Also i think by making a move of that nature, it may light a fire under perez. Goal posts don't put points on the board

Dalhabs
I think we should try and get Pavel Brendl. He is lighting it up seriously in sweden for Mora IK at the moment averaging 1 goal per game. And thats "GOAL" not "Point". He has said that he wants this season to be a restart back to the NHL and I say we should sign him becaus he cant expect too much and if he can score goals like that he would be great. Also i think by making a move of that nature, it may light a fire under perez. Goal posts don't put points on the board Perezhogin has actually been playing decently, and the third line in general is playing well. I don't think there's need to light a fire under anyone there. The Flyers tried to use Nedved as a shut down center, and he's not good at that. He's an older player on the decline, and someone the Habs don't need. The spare parts signings (other than Traverse...haha) seem to be over for Montreal. Nedved should prob be a PP specialist where ever he ends up playing, and for that price, I'd just assume sign the slow as molassas Jason Allison for less money...and no, I'm not suggesting the Habs do so. Athlétique.Canadien
WOW I detect a little hatred towards Nedved. A failed pool some years ago. I don't hate him I just think he's useless. He was useless in Phoenix on the 1st line with Doan and now he's been waived

bebehabs
our offensive lines are playing good enough to win games... we should focus on getting a defenseman instead of a forward! especially if dandy dandy and bouillon r not recovering as fast as we wish i rather see a kid playing than nedved~
Oleg Petrov
No way on Nedved. Kostitsyn is ready. If somebody starts sucking it up, Kostitsyn should take their spot, or Latendresse should be moved up, not some washed-up fat-contract ol' timer, even if he's good for 40 points in a season (which I'm not sure Nedved is). There's only so much ice time to go around, and Nedved turns 35 in less than two months.
kenadian
Let the Leaf's pick him up..............................there almost out of older players past their prime and still earning a decent paycheck....

Why would the Habs send Perezhogin down you must really not like him because he has been possibly one of the most consistent hard working Canadiens this season! REV-G
Not a chance. I do not believe for one minute that Bob Gainey would pay Nedved over 2 million a year with what Nedved's done over the past two years. In 2004 he scored 19 goals total with the Rangers and Oilers. Last year he played in the Czech-Rep. and he scored 22 in a much weaker league. This year he has 0 goals. What upside does he have and why would you even want to pay a guy over 2 million with that sort of production over the past two years. Who would we want to remove from our lineup for this guy? It won't happen.
Shu
We dont need Nedved, he is a waist of money, he sucks, there is no room for him on the canadiens, we dont need a crappy foward we need a powerfoward.
Bacchus
NO! Nedved has a horrible attitude. He is not a team player. He is an individual player who will screw his team mates over to argue a contract he signed. We are building a TEAM. We don't need the distraction. Just because there is a center available that we don't have doesn't mean we should want him. Nedved will have you missing Ribeiro in a hurry. *** Speaking of Ribeiro, I think his image is still in the header on the front page. ***
habsfan88
Nedved's numbers have declined sufficiently each year as he gets older. This is no longer the "prime" Nedved. So no is my opinion.
