Chris
Iron Lung, if you think Lats having a minus is bad and should be sent down, what do you want to do with Souray and Rivet. They are a combines minus 10. Let the kid play and learn. He is not playing as bad as alot of other forwards.
olematelot
I must ask, what has Lats done so far this season, my answer, nothing, this guy isn't ready for the NHL and though he probably won't should go back to junior. It was quite obvious early on last night he didn't belong on the 2nd line. Iron Lung, if you think Lats having a minus is bad and should be sent down, what do you want to do with Souray and Rivet. Athlétique.Canadien
He was not on the wrong end of a bad play. As a matter of fact he made a nice play mixing up Chara on the point and getting the puck out. Had he not done that, Chara could have sent a bullet on Huet. He is doing all of the little things well. For those who don't think so please cite where he is terrible. He also managed to make 2 plays to get the puck to Pleks or Kovy which both resulted in chances Edited October 27, 2006 by ATHLÉTIQUE.CANADIEN
GOHABSGO22
He did nothing on the fourth line and he was just as invisible on the second line.
Chris
Begin, Murray, Kovalev. There plus minus is very similar to Lats. Kovalev does have points. The others don't.
Athlétique.Canadien
Yeah, Lat's on the 2nd line is goofy I guess. Obviously the experts here are right and Carbonneau, Muller and Jarvis are stupid.
The Iron Lung
How can you compare defensemen who play over 20 minutes a night to a player who has rarely played 10 minutes/game. That makes Latendresse's -5 look even worse. Iron Lung, if you think Lats having a minus is bad and should be sent down, what do you want to do with Souray and Rivet. They are a combines minus 10. Chris
Actually it proves that everyone besides the the first line is playing horrribly 5 on 5. Souray's points are all on the PP, which makes his stats 5 on 5 look even worse, Same with Rivet, they are getting all the PP time. Lats isn't. He'll be fine over time. I'm not saying he's been great, just that there are others making alot more money and alot more playing time are playing just as poorly. That makes Latendresse's -5 look even worse. The entire 4th line is in the minuses (logically, its the 4th line!). I guess it means we should demote Begin and Murray too? Did you get Carbo's comments, when he said he'd keep Latendresse for the entire season? Did you also get the part where he said fans and medias would be impatient with him? Nothing more predictable in Habsland than fans jumping to conclusion after just 9 games... Latendresse should be sent home, Markov, Kovalev and Sammy traded, Huet is a flash in the pan, Plex will never be more than a 3rd liner... Thank God, the season lasts 82 games. Optimism springs eternal before the season starts, the Habs get off to a decent 5-2-2 record and all that can be said is that they're horrible. That's good for 109 pts right now.
