Psycing
More news from sick bay: Steve Bégin, who has a back injury, was placed on Injured Reserve. http://www.habsinsideout.com/boone/2006/12...onker.html#more Basically, this will give Carbo and management more time to decide if Lapierre is here to stay, or if his strong start will slow. It's rather important because the decision could result in the loss of Murray or Downey through waivers. Putting Begin on IR also buys time for Gauthier/Gainey to find a taker for Murray or Downey should Lapierre remain with the team. They have until the 19th of december though, because after that there's a roster freeze. Not sure if that applies for waivers or not though. This brings up the question of whether or not the team would be allowed to hold more than 23 players on it's roster during the freeze. lazy26
A good move. It'll give Maxim more opportunity to prove himself.
Bacchus
We'll miss Begin tonight though. We need our defensive players to shut down Crosby and Malkin, and all of the other henchmen.
JMMR
We'll miss Begin tonight though. We need our defensive players to shut down Crosby and Malkin, and all of the other henchmen. Begin has been playing on the 4th line, not a line I would like to see against Crosby, however his penalty killing abiliaty will surely be missed, but if Lapierre can kill them off as he did Thursday there will be no issues. This is a good decision and I believe that Murray may be on his way out if Lapierre can play consistantly.
