Galchenyuk at Center

He will get spot duty for injuries and when he does if he is superior at both ends of ice, then by all means permanently move him there and he will do fine no doubt. He does seem a stronger/faster/more confident version this year and love his play so far, I really don't care too much if moved or not, just dosent seem the time for it?

Richer had the tools to be a dominant, top-10 NHL player - and he was that player in 1988. Unfortunately, he was an emotional basket-case, suffering from depression, and ultimately lacked the will to realize his potential. So he settled in as an inconsistent secondary scorer and any team that relied on him to produce was in trouble. We made one of the great trades in modern habs' history to dump his useless ass for Muller, who (after Roy) was the lynchpin of the 1993 team; and then we made an execrable trade to get his useless ass back, dumping Odelein - a key team leader and tough defensive stalwart - for a player who brought little more than neuroses to the table. God, Houle was an idiot.

On Galchenyuk, people make a fetish out of the C position. We have a strong team with depth at C. There is no rush to put Galy there. Let him continue to develop his game. His development is not being hampered. The team is winning. What's the problem?

Good post, development is key, playing with TP will turn him into a complete player....

The team is doing well with Gally on the wing. 7-1 Some guys make it sound like habs would be 1-7 if he was playing center. ha!

Working out well though I agree. Also worth noting that when that line is down low Chucky and pleks look like they almost switch...... and its chucky playing center and pleks playing wing. eg on the tie goal against wings.

The kid is really beginning to assert himself. He's shown glimpses ever since he arrived, but now he is doing something special on what seems like 50% of his shifts. His puck control skill are insane. If he can continue upon that upward trajectory, he will terrorize opposing D for years to come. Very, very exciting to see - fingers crossed he keeps progressing like this.

I believe we are watching a superstar in the making.
