DON
Could be a super game. (any changes to PP practice units I wonder or hope so?)
Guest Stogey24
Man, Tarasenko is sick. I think Galcheyuk will make that leap shortly here.

sim.on
The Habs are going to be eager to prove they can beat an upper echelon team. I'm looking forward to what should be good game.
Habsfan
I think our boys will come out flying tonight. However, I don't foresee lots of goals. 2-1 win for the Habs in shootout!
PMAC
I remember saying that I hoped Bowman got a game, but the idea was to rest Gonchar. Oh well, we are getting the playing time for Beaulieu that just about everyone--including me--wanted, so I hope he and the team have a nice bounce-back game against the Blues. BTW, Pierre McGuire said the other day on TSN that Drayson Bowman was " a point getter, a scorer"?! He seems to think that Bowman is not suited to a 4th line checking role. Thoughts? I know nothing about Bowman other than he seemed effective in training camp. What say you of McGuire's take on Bowman. Go Habs Go

He seems to think that Bowman is not suited to a 4th line checking role. Thoughts? I know nothing about Bowman other than he seemed effective in training camp. What say you of McGuire's take on Bowman. Bowman was a big time scorer in junior (two 40+ goal seasons) which is where McGuire probably gets that from. He really isn't suited to a checking role either. He's not a great defensive or energy player, doesn't hit much, not a faceoff specialist, etc; those are attributes that often make a successful 4th line player. Stylistically, he's better suited to be in a more offensive role. Talent wise though, he's not good enough to warrant a more offensive role. Lots of young players fall into that category, they're good enough to be NHL'ers but not good enough to succeed in the type of role that they're best suited for. Right now, Bowman can give the Habs eight reasonable minutes a night. He won't hurt you on the 4th line, but won't help much either. That's okay for injury depth too, it's better than having someone that's completely inept for a 4th line job.

Habs30/31
Thomas is not an ideal fourth liner to be sure. Small and offensive. He's told to move the puck up the wall and dump ins then get off. Dont get scored on. In other words play like Moens used to without the physical part. No , not a good role for Thomas. Habs in tough. Usually once they play poorly it takes games to get out of it. Blues win this one.

Guest Stogey24
Tangradi isn't playing bad for the dogs. He should be called up for his size alone. Bowman legit looks 13 years old

But my prediction for tonights game based on three things. 1. The bad game they played two nights ago. 2. Hitchcock vs Therrien game plans. 3. Habs record against western teams this season and last. Machine of Loving Grace
Just don't lose as bad as the Leafs lost to the Preds. Prefer a win, but if it's a loss? Just make it a close game. I'm enjoying the existential crisis Leafs fans are dealing with right now.

PMAC
Very poor attitude on here tonight.... "Blues win"..."Its ok if we lose, just don't get Maple laughed" Arrrgh ! *&&!@!!(*&^%$#!!! We are in first place in the entire league. We have the best GM in the league...(Bergevin just traded Bourque for an expiring contract w/o retaining salary! ) And, we seem to be cornering the market on defensemen! Tonight, forwards actually play some defense. Powerplay scores. Price dominates. Habs win
